What people who are looking at vibe coded Arc alternatives don't understand, is that creating the product is the easy part.
Where it falls apart is the developer carrying and updating the product for longer than the hype lasts.
The browser is where people spend most of their time and has the most important data. It's crazy to me, to replace it on a whim with some bro's quick sideproject

if you look at the replies and reposts of the main post AND the paid partnership posts most of them are fake and just bot farms at large scale
so against X ToS and quite easy to cluster since it's always the same accounts (there is a good blog post to make with "we asked grok clusters and ban the bot farms")
jev used this kind of slop agency and it definitely works and converted into real usage (and they raise a massive amount with this) so i can understand why people are doing it, it's just sad and should be fixed at the platform level quick otherwise everyone will do it and people will start to leave X

i find it really sad that X is becoming a pay to win platform and that even "good" releases are going through these fully slop/fake campaigns to get traction
i'm also pretty sure there is very shady stuff where they are boosting each other's posts with bot farms and more. would here @elonmusk and make sure the algorithm doesn't push their posts, you can very easily cluster that if you look at each release and the accounts amplifying 🙏
(not a dunk on recursive, recently a lot of people are doing that unfo and it's definitely working, posts often get over ~1M views)

The guy who gave us QLoRA, says DeepSeek's inference system is on par with OpenAI's stack and better than what Anthropic runs, at least at their scale.
Now check the license. Apache 2.0.
Until today a production stack at that level existed inside a handful of companies. It was the thing that made their API fast and their margins fat, and none of them ever showed it to anyone.
Today any startup, any university, any cloud in any country can download it, read it and run it. It runs on NVIDIA Blackwell and on Huawei Ascend, so it isnt tied to 1 chip vendor either.
This is what I mean when I say open weights are about more than downloading a chatbot. DeepSeek is giving away the knowledge that only a few labs had, and that changes who can build an AI company at all.
