@easyJet you tell me I have to buy a ticket for my child as they turn two during the trip, but then you won't let me insert his passport details to check in because he's under two. What am I supposed to do?

I think the lesson I am learning here is that you should either a) avoid at all costs flying with a child that turns two between the outbound and return trips or b) lie about your childs age on online check-in and hope to sort it all out at the airport.

Sadly I've chosen c) both trying to fly and being truthful which seems to mean I either have to pay for my seats to be sat with my 1 (and later 2) year old son, or, with apologies to the others on the flight, let him sit with strangers

Whilst I was his best man Matt has consistently proved he's a better man than me. The way in which he has responded to his stroke is truly awe inspiring, and his new blog well worth a read brainfartblogcouk.wordpress.com/2025/04/09/wel…

Really pleased to have worked on this report, some fascinating results that simultaneously give me hope that the fiscal contract is an idea that people want to support, but also concern that not enough people see the fiscal contract working in reality.

What do INGOs and the new UK chancellor have in common? A weakness for big numbers, and for presenting known economic facts as new research. New blogpost by me, graciously hosted by @oxfamgb frompoverty.oxfam.org.uk/are-killer-fac…

The tabling of Kenya's Finance Bill 2024 in parliament sparked one of the broadest protests in the country's history.
For @eric_magale & @marioatschmidt these protests result from the breakage of the fiscal social contract between government & citizens.
