@justvanrossum My favourite Adauby Agrobrat nonsense was a particular usage of a TTF which, due to the make-up of the font, caused it to select 饾挄饾拤饾拪饾挃 cmap for lookups, but thanks to the construction of the font directory in the PDF, perform 饾挄饾拤饾拏饾挄 unrelated & incompatible lookup using it.

@justvanrossum The implementation of OpenType Feature files in Microsoft Office is an 芦usine 脿 gaz禄 [Rube Goldberg machine]. When you code the features with heterodoxes rules the rendering engine is very ugly in comparaison with Adobe鈥檚 softs.
