There are Catholics and Protestants, people of all faiths and none, alive today because of the sacrifices made by police officers and servicemen and women. Watching the proceedings at the Cenotaph, I can鈥檛 help but think they have the order of the procession the eat and the good should wait until the veterans have passed before laying the wreaths they carry by virtue of the offices they hold, rather than the sacrifices they have made. Not least, the wreath laid on behalf of those widowed by war should take precedence. The veterans and those who have borne the true cost of sacrifice should always come first.
