Five weeks before the vote, the BC Conservatives were a party at war with itself. Then they won a massive majority. One of the strategists who ran the war room, Dimitri Pantazopoulos, pulls back the curtain on how. #bcpoli #cdnpoli  @DPinBC

RT @Bzubyk: Going through the numbers this morning a few things stand out:

Lorne Doerkson is the most honourable and decent politician I’ve ever had the privilege of working for.

The perfect man for the job. No one is more deserving.

British Columbia’s accidental (but not so accidental) Premier.

One of the joys of this experience was working closely with great leaders like @DianneWatts4BC

Humbling and inspiring

🙏
To Dianne Watts

No matter the outcome tonight, I am extremely proud of @LDoerkson and lucky to call him a friend.

One columnist said he brings a service-club style to his work, seeking to help rather than take credit.

That sums it up nicely.

Great event!! Go Surrey! B
Thank you, Surrey! 2,500 of you packed the room tonight, and the energy was incredible. I’m so grateful to every single person who came out.

Looking at that crowd, I saw the people who keep British Columbia going. Hard workers. Builders. Families who’ve given so much to this government that finally works just as hard for them.

Surrey is ready for change and strong leadership.

On October 24th, vote Conservative.

“What he said”

I have to say, David Eby and the NDP have run what is perhaps the worst election campaign of my lifetime.

Devoid of any positivity, any coherent rationale for why they deserve to be re-elected.

Filled with embarrassing gaffes (see Eby’s $10/day daycare) and a total lack of policy or rhetorical imagination.

31 days into the campaign, they can’t even articulate why they called this election in the first place.

All they have left is fearmongering, division and misinformation.

Tomorrow, October 24th, let’s vote for a change.

Wow. Odd choice to have the NDP Forest Minister — whose ideological, anti-forestry policies have cost the North Island hundreds (or maybe thousands) of jobs — campaigning in Campbell River of all places.

BC’s forestry workers built communities like Campbell River, Port Hardy, and Port McNeill.

It’s time to elect a government that shows them some support! 🇨🇦
Doorknocking in Campbell River with our own Sara Lopez!

The north island is a key economic driver for our province. It needs someone like Sara in govt. In tune with the culture, but also a fierce advocate.

Someone to attract investment while supporting communities.

Surrey is an economic powerhouse, and it deserves a government that treats it like one.

Today I unveiled our Surrey Success Plan: a new Children’s and Women’s Hospital in Surrey, SkyTrain to Newton Town Centre, and a 10-lane Massey Bridge that cuts commutes by up to 30 minutes.

That post by the @bcndp is actually quite sad, and reeks of channel-changing desperation.

"In a shocking display of participating in democracy, & utterly aligned with his history", @AaronGunn has responded to the call to not only serve, but also to assist. 🫡

@NVanCaroline is seeking office for the first time as an elected official - utterly consistent with her convictions - and appropriately contributing to Leader @LDoerkson and his team the profile she developed in the first half of this year. 💪

It's called (wait for it...) "teamwork".

@Dave_Eby and the NDP have made the worst miscalculation in Canadian political history - matching their other destructive historic achievements around housing affordability, medical wait times (pick one...), cost of living, abandoned seniors, debt, deficit, homelessness province-wide, and those suffering from addiction.

In fairness, it must be confusing and aggravating beyond measure to see opponents coalescing in good faith, driven by a likeminded desire to bring this disastrous decade to an end.

Lorne will make an outstanding premier.
NEW — The BC NDP is claiming that Lorne Doerkson’s “rivals” Aaron Gunn and Caroline Elliott are actively seeking to take his position.
