Happy Sunday, friends! ☀️
Thankful for the many gifts of God’s Spirit, Who bears witness w/in us, (Romans 8:16) & gives us assurance when we’re born again but then afterwards too, He keeps us by that same love that rescued us from the domain of darkness, & transferred us into His beaues us, corrects us, & grows us as we abide in Him, and He in us. No one remains as they were.
🕊️ His grace is sufficient.
📖 His Word is pure.
❤️ His love endures forever.
I have not written to you because you do not know the Truth, but because you do know it. —1 John 2:21 , 24
As for you, let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. — 1 John 2:24
As for you, the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.
If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him. —1 John 2:21 , 24, 26-27, & 29
These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life. —1 John 5:13

For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

🌤☕️happy Sonday,
Some of life's most beautiful endings began in places we never would have chosen... but God has a way of redeeming the story.🙌
We bring Him our worries, He offers us His peace and faith reminds us that the story isn't over yet... nothing is beyond His reach.🧡

Good morning my friends, followers, MAGA patriots. Today is Sunday a day of rest and worship the Lord. We had a great time yesterday and today should be less busy. Today’s verses are great, Paul comes right out stating 1) he seeks to please His and 2) that the source of the is not from any man but from none other than Jesus Christ. God is good. Enjoy your Sunday! Remember Go vote, vite Red 🔴, pray for each other, our country, and for the midterms. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸

"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." - Philippians 4:6 -
Anxiety shrinks in the light of honest prayer, so tell Him everything today.

There are two kinds of people who keep God's commandments: those who do so because they've been given a new heart and new desires, and those who do so out of fear of punishment or because they believe their obedience earns or maintains their salvation.
The difference is the heart behind the obedience. One is the fruit of salvation and the other is an attempt to earn it/maintain it

This is a good read, and it's accurate.
These are 3 things most Christians don’t know about Reformation Day.
1. It is possible October 31 wasn't a random date.
Some historians think Luther chose October 31st to circulate his 95 Theses (and post them on the Castle Church doors according to tradition) because the following day, November 1, was All Saints’ Day.
This was a major religious celebration when large crowds of pilgrims would gather at Wittenberg's Castle Church to venerate its collection of sacred relics.
So here comes Luther… and in Thesis 36 he argues that every truly repentant Christian has a right to “full remission of penalty and guilt even without an indulgence letter.”
In other words, Luther was challenging the indulgence system immediately before a major religious celebration involving indulgences at his own university's church.
2. Luther was not trying to create a new branch of Christianity.
Luther was a devoted Catholic monk and professor of theology. When he published his 95 Theses in 1517, his goal wasn't to start a new church, but to reform the one he was already part of.
As the controversy developed, Luther wanted ordinary Christians to read the Bible themselves and believed all church teachings and traditions should ultimately be evaluated against the authority of Scripture.
By 1522, some of Luther's followers were already starting to call themselves “Lutherans” but he was against that.
In his work “A Sincere Admonition to All Christians to Guard Against Insurrection and Rebellion” he wrote: "I ask that men make no reference to my name, and call themselves not Lutherans, but Christians."
3. The printing press was the “social media” of that time… and it changed everything.
A lot of people imagine Martin Luther as a rebellious monk who nailed his 95 Theses to a church door so the whole world would hear his criticisms of the Church.
Nope.
Luther wrote the theses in Latin for academic debate. Most ordinary people couldn’t read Latin.
The printing press had been developed in Europe only about 70 years earlier, and printers began reproducing and distributing Luther's writings. His 95 theses spread quickly beyond Wittenberg, and German translations helped make his arguments accessible to ordinary people.
In other words, Luther’s work went “viral” before “viral” was a thing.
And as Luther's writings continued to spread, more and more people were being exposed to statements like these...
"When our Lord and Master Jesus Christ said, 'Repent,' he willed the entire life of believers to be one of repentance." (95 Theses, Thesis 1)
"We do not become righteous by doing righteous deeds but, having been made righteous, we do righteous deeds." (Disputation Against Scholastic Theology, Thesis 40)
"My conscience is captive to the Word of God." (Diet of Worms, 1521)
And after that, the world would never be the same.

Once a young woman came to see Charles Haddon Spurgeon and asked him if she could date a young man who was an unbeliever.
She said her aim was to lead him to Christ and so she had decided to be engaged to him soon.
Spurgeon asked the lady to climb up onto a high table.
She urgeon already quite advanced in age, told the girl to grasp his hand and try her best to pull him up onto the table.
She tried but of course, she could not do it.
Then Spurgeon said he would pull her down. And with just one pull, she came down.
He said ''It is easy to be pulled down, but hard to pull up.''
That sister gained clarity that day.
I hope you have, as well.

“It was I who knew you in the wilderness, in the land of drought.”
~Hosea 13:5
Yes, Lord, You did indeed know me in my fallen state, and You did even then choose me for Yourself. When I was loathsome and self-abhorred, You received me as Your child, and You satisfied my er be Your name for this free, rich, abounding mercy. Since then, my inward experience has often been a wilderness; but You have kept me still as Your beloved and poured streams of love and grace into me to gladden me and make me fruitful. When my outward circumstances have been at the worst, and I have wandered in a land of drought, Your sweet presence has comforted me. Men have ignored me, and I have been scorned; but You have known my soul in adversities, for no affliction dims the luster of Your love. Most gracious Lord, I magnify You for all Your faithfulness to me in trying circumstances, and I deplore the fact that I have at times forgotten You and been proud of heart when I have owed everything to Your gentleness and love. Have mercy upon Your servant in this matter!
My soul, if Jesus acknowledged you in your lowly condition, be sure that you own both Himself and His cause now that you are in prosperity. Do not be puffed up by worldly successes, and do not be ashamed of the truth or of the poor church with which you have been associated. Follow Jesus into the wilderness: Bear the cross with Him when the persecution heats up. He owned you, O my soul, in your poverty and shame—never be so treacherous as to be ashamed of Him. Let me know more shame at the thought of being ashamed of my best Beloved! Jesus, my soul cleaves to You.
I'll turn to Thee in days of light,
As well as nights of care,
Thou brightest amid all that's bright!
Thou fairest of the fair!

When was the last time your church publicly named a specific sin (by name) without immediately softening it? And what happened when someone did?

We are Protestants and we continue to protest anything and everything that sets itself up against the Word of God, adds to the finished work of Christ, or robs God of His glory. It makes no difference whether it comes from Rome, from the pulpit down the road, or from our own is our final authority (2 Timothy 3:16-17), salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9), and God has said, “I am the LORD, that is My name; I will not give My glory to another” (Isaiah 42:8).
