The country is going down the pan and our Prime Minister is faffing around tweaking parking tickets.

What is the point in Burnham if he refuses to touch the big issues like the ballooning benefits bill?
🚨 NEW: Andy Burnham has announced changes to car parking fines

- Drivers will have a 5-minute grace period to decide whether to park and 10 minutes to leave after a parking session ends

- A £20 maximum charge on appeal for minor mistakes, such as entering the wrong number plate or not displaying a permit

- Charges will also be cancelled on appeal for breakdowns, medical emergencies or broken ticket machines

- The £100 cap on charges will remain

- The rules will come into force as soon as possible and operators that break them will lose access to DVLA data

@fant1345 @RobertJenrick @Thiss_Youu As others note - Burnham is the PM announcing what was a Conservative junior minister and PMB work as his own.

@fant1345t@RobertJenricky@Thiss_Youu is…

If anything it actually proves a PM (especially given the dire state of this country) shouldn’t even be looking at something as low level than this .

This is junior minister stuff, sort of thing they try and reform in order to get recognition and a promotion 😂

@fant1345 @RobertJenrick @Thiss_Youu At the time I think he was the Communities Secretary, not the Prime Minister.
