i feel bad for all the guys who spent the last few years becoming professional meme coiners.
0 skills learned and they have destroyed their ability to properly invest or discern value. short term attention trading forces you to learn bad behaviors for a real trader. not a single skill from memecoining translates into real trading, except clicking buy/sell.
not more than 0.1% of trenchers know how crypto works in reality, and most were playing a short term game unrelated to the reasons most of us came to this space.
before 2022, the space was 99% real projects that were attempting to provide utility, or some sort of value to the world. yes we had $doge and useless shitcoins (at least doge is a blockchain).
but over the last few years, there has been a hyper-acceleration of retardation and memecoin influencers onboarding an entire new generation of crypto users who are completely removed from the core ethos of cryptocurrency and the reasons most of us ended up here.
this has caused damage to many good projects, because people trading have been dumping their "value" or "longterm" bags to buy into attention trades. and the people who have discipline and experience are forced to follow suit or hold a bag to 0 even though the founder is delivering and the team has a good product.
this has also pushed potentially good founders and good teams with good ideas, away from crypto forever.
i believe we are seeing this trend die slowly.
eventually, people grow tired of never winning. people grow tired of seeing KOLs and grown men with the testosterone level of a 14 year old trans girl hit 1000xes on the timeline, wondering why it's not working for them. then what happens?
some of them meet people like me, and learn what the space is supposed to be about. some of them seek value after being burned by malicious people. some just want a bag they can sleep on. it will come.

We've become more efficient at extracting liquidity, not more efficient as a market. Behavior that once got people shunned is now normalized. I would call this regression rather than progress. Lower upside isn't proof of better price discovery.

There's a 75% chance that Democrats will control the Senate.
Democrats are also the favorites to control the House with 94% odds.
And if that happens, it's a bad sign for stocks and crypto, especially AI stocks.
Democrats have been repeatedly calling for the slowdown in AI y gain control, any pro-AI or pro-crypto bills will have fewer chances of passing.
That doesn't mean it's down only now, but markets could take some time to absorb the bad news before reversal.

A wave of huge FUD will hit the crypto market in the next few weeks.
After the world's largest exchange got hacked, people will start going after everything.
Some will say that Satoshi holdings could get stolen.
Some will say that ETF holdings could get stolen.
This is exactly what happened after the FTX crash when people literally called for the end of every crypto exchange.
We all know no such thing happened, and Bitcoin went on a multi-year bull run.
I guess this time won't be any different.
