Heading to Geneva to teach Python at CERN this week. First leg (Belfast to Amsterdam) delayed - hoping I make the connection.

I made my connection with about 10 minutes to spare. Not the 2 hrs I’d planned but enough to have made to Switzerland.

Ever wished you could take an Intro to Python training with me, but don't work for a company with a group training budget? I'm excited to announce a solution: Python High Five! 🖐
It's a 10-week #Python course starting Sept 9. 🐍
Signups close Aug 31.

Our dog is ready for Belfast pride.
Had to break it to him that we weren't going as no one in our house is coping with crowds right now.
He wasn't impressed.

How much is this true?
Microwave/Air fryer combo < Microwave + Air fryer
Don't have as much storage or counter space in my new place and trying to work out whether both devices are worth it.

Sometimes I forget how fun vanilla PHP is.
So easy to CRUD from a database, set up models and views, use sessions and login.
Built a quick spaced repetition tool in about 45 minutes.
Thinking about how much more complex that would be in JS makes me a bit a sad.

This dog isn't going to know what hit him when we move back to the city next week.
This part of our current garden is bigger than the whole plot our new house is on.

The new Angular docs are using fetch and Promises when introducing HTTP data (angular.dev/tutorials/firs…) - is this a move away from HttpClient and RxJS?

Today I finish a "when this project is over, I'll be able to do all the things I want to do" kind of project.
How long until I feel this about another project on my plate?

Trying to find the best ways to work with forms in Vue.
There are a host of form libraries out there and I don't know which to choose.
I want to build a form without libraries and then try to do the same in different libraries.
Here's the first video:

Watching the Three Body Problem.
Only vaguely remember the book but by the middle of episode 2, it feels like it's hitting the main beats.
Pretty compelling.
