[AI Software Factory] - Probabilistic workers need deterministic boundaries.
This one is about a merge that just landed on a Friday.
The frontend onboarding UI now connects directly to the control plane orchestration. Meaning users can trigger enterprise-grade builds from the the system behind it handles the rest.
Here's how the boundary works:
The product side owns the intent (what to build). The control plane owns the execution state (whether to build it, and what happened). The user-facing app sends a build request. The control plane hashes the product intent, stores the raw bytes, and stages the exact input to the build runner. If capacity is available, a new build is created. If the same request comes in again, nothing happens. Idempotent by design.
Workers never decide whether something is a duplicate. They never choose which version of the input they received. That decision is made before they exist.
When the build ends, a reconciler observes the runner, turns checkpoints and terminal outcomes into durable control plane state, and informs the BFF. The BFF updates the database. The frontend picks up the result on refresh.
Hope you find the video useful, if not, no issues, keep scrolling :)

The Netherlands is a leader when it comes to food production due to innovations in agricultural techniques which improve efficiency.
Growing a kilogram of tomatoes in the Netherlands requires 9.1 liters of water. The global average is over 210 liters of water per kilogram.

SpaceX just confirmed that all 26 @Starlink V3 satellites deployed in orbit today during Flight 14 have successfully made contact with each satellite via laser links, ground stations, and even Starlink user terminals!
Each one of those satellites is equivalent to about 10 tellites that fly on Falcon 9. This is a game changer.

You cannot optimize what you haven’t mastered manually. You haven’t earned the right to automate until you’ve felt the friction of the manual labor.

Your love of the work is the wrong signal to follow.
You can be completely lit up by what you're doing and still be completely stuck.
The question I keep coming back to: are you making real progress, or have you gotten comfortable maintaining a status quo that isn't going anywhere?
There's a difference between a company that's hard to get moving and a company that is never going to go anywhere.
The first one fights back but keeps going.
The second just absorbs your effort and stays exactly where it is.

The end of flow state
You wake up, excited for the day to start.
You have a feature idea you are looking forward to implement.
You make your coffee. Sit in front of the laptop. Put on that techno set you love.
The house is empty for the next 8 hours. No one can interrupt you.
You open your IDE and begin typing.
Soon, hours pass in minutes.
Everything makes sense.
And before you know it, it’s the end of the day.
You’re looking at today’s work and are content.
You’re energised.
Because you created something you enjoy.
Fast forward.
No more.
You start a new day with an open IDE.
But, instead of pressing those keyboard buttons, you’re staring at a orange text.
“Discombulating”
“Wombanizing”
Minutes feels like hours.
Nothing makes sense.
And before you know it, it’s the end of the day.
You’re tired. Your brain hurts.
It feels like you just finished a ton of meetings.
But, at least you shipped 1,000 lines of code, right?
You should be proud.
But, the only thing you feel is hollow.
Did you create? Or did someone else?
That magical feeling from years ago, where did it go?
Rest in peace, flow state.
You were dear to me.

Qwen 3.8 replaced Claude Opus for my coding. 27B and Flash Next on a 128GB Strix Halo laptop, no cloud subscription. Flash Next scores 40 on the AA index against 42 for Opus 4.8. Decode 10-15 tok/s, prefill is the real cost.
