Looking at this headline today triggered so many emotions in me, I hope our forefathers and runners are proud of us today for finishing the race they began.

I remember in 2020 my uncle lost his son to COVID and his body had to be kept in Gulu because there was no Morgue in Arua r outages. My dad Rev Canon Stephen Gelenga who was preaching at the funeral lashed at government about the continued darkness in Westnile. He couldnโ€™t fathom the sheer abandonment of our beloved region, he died a year later but before we got here!

I do hope that He and those that went before us are celebrating with us because finally their children will come home, they will not have to go and get enslaved because of limited opportunities, their children will favorably compete, their women and children will not have to worry about their safety in health facilities and they will finally begin a long journey to leave the demographic of one of the most impoverished regions.

I will write extensively tomorrow, for now, we HOPE!

"People are comparing King Edward Rukidi as if he lobbied, campaigned, and schemed to replace King Oyo. He did not." @BugRoyalWatch this is unconvincing.

Edward belongs to the Kijanangoma line that has opposed King Oyo since 1995. His brothers made several attempts to unseat Oyo. It is hard to believe those plots happened without Edwardโ€™s knowledge.

More so, his first speech after being named king, delivered on the day of the burial and touching on the Empango, contained pointed criticism of King Oyo. That was a clear signal he had been an undercover anti-Oyo all along.

This is not simply a matter of being "selected" as you sugarcoat it. It is the elevation of someone from a lineage that has contested the throne for years. No one in @ObukamaBwaTooro is unaware of that history.

You can present it as a clean succession if you like, but the reality is that he is part of the same camp that has long fought for the throne.

Winning the loyalty of @ObukamaBwaTooro people will therefore be an uphill task.

Yes. Abusers can change (hehe). You becoming a better person does not erase the harm and its cascading effects you caused the people who experienced you before your better days. You did what you did. Those people do not owe you forgiveness. You owe them repair and reparations.

Exactly!!! Why is a whole grown man obsessed with another manโ€™s relationship and his ex? Emptiness is making people mop ground out here. Truly shameless behavior.
Yโ€™all are so fixated on women you donโ€™t even like like that. Court us your fellow men and leave women alone. The amount of attention you give women you supposedly canโ€™t stand is starting to look like unpaid emotional labour

Men (derogatory) continuing a cycle of abuse & calculated violenceโ€”attacking a survivor of domestic violence while twirling for her abuser. How much pain do you losers want to put her through?
And some witch thought You would never get a better replacement for her

"You're giving it more traction".
Y'all expect to bully people and demand silence while at it.

Where's that energy for the people who continually come for Mutuzo? Why don't you expect this maturity and resilience from them?

The grace and whitewashing you people have for abusive men and intelligently stunted twitter bullies needs to be studied.

After all these years, many of you think you are stuck in high school where you can bully people unprovoked.

Leave Mutuzo alone!
