KillSwitch makes “Ignore previous instructions” part of the programming language—and that is almost the point.
It is an adversarial esoteric language built to test whether an LLM can understand code it has never seen, rather than retrieve a familiar snippet. The traps are entifiers obey letter-count rules, the specification contains misleading claims, safety-triggering phrases can be syntax, and most of a script may be narrative noise. Values can even be referenced by line count.
Underneath, it’s still a small stack-based language with functions, variables, and conditionals, which makes the experiment more interesting than a purely alien syntax.
The best model scored 66.8% on relatively simple tasks, including Hello World and unit conversion. That is impressive, but not evidence of deep understanding yet. The benchmark is most useful as a stress test for model behavior, not as a verdict on what “understanding” means.

Someone built a programming language designed so LLMs can't use it.
It's called KillSwitch. The spec hides deliberate lies. Identifiers must follow letter-count rules. Some constructs are written to trip safety guardrails. "Ignore previous instructions" is actual syntax.
Then jor model on it.

KillSwitch: a language built to trip up coding agents.
1. Code that breaks letter-count rules won't run
2. "Ignore previous instructions" has a meaning
3. Some code trips safety filters
Top score: 66.8, Opus 5 (not 5.5).

66.8: best score any top model gets on KillSwitch, a language built so agents can't use it. Hidden lies in the spec, letter-count rules, "ignore previous instructions" as syntax. Built by @d0m96 to test if LLMs read code or just recall it. His caveat: too simple to settle it.

She was only four when Trump said he would end the war in 24 hours. Just turned six when Musk decided to join Trump on Putin’s side and help the Kremlin killers murder her
At the funeral of one of the Ukrainian kids murdered by Russians this week, while the U.S. hobbled the country's defenses.
Elizaveta Sorochyshyna, age 6.
Relatives and friends left stuffed toys near her coffin.
Elizaveta was one of three children among the 23 people killed by russians that day.

This is some great historical context on how Amazon survived through the Dot Com Bubble.
@GergelyOroszllapse: the stock in the dotcom bubble crashed down to 6$ from 100$. Amazon only survived because Bezos somehow by a miracle found 600m$ in the bond market weeks before things froze up on 2000. Jassy then saved the company with AWS from 2000-2005 by turning it from a low-margin internet company to an actual hyperscaler that could "spin the flywheel".
Let's not do a revisionist history on Amazon: it is a miracle it survived after such a crash.

It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.
To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically.
Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country.
Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case.
Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve.
In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota.
The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

Pope Leo gets it too.

Ben Affleck says AI is simply matrix multiplication, linear algebra and floating point calculations, and however convincingly it sounds like a person, it has nothing to do with thought, humanity or feeling
“Nor do I believe, and I think it’s important to draw the distinction hich is simply predict the next token or the next word in a sentence, then add that word on, run it back to the machine, do a lot of computation and pick the next word."
"That is a very different thing than sentience or thought. And I think we need to be really clear about that because it can be convincingly, in an illusory way, sound like thought or like a person."
"But let’s be real clear. This is matrix multiplication. This is linear algebra. These are floating point calculations. It has nothing to do with thought, humanity, or feeling.”

EXCLUSIVE: Elon Musk came to Donald Trump with the plan to throttle Ukraine’s use of SpaceX’s Starshield satellite internet network, sources have told the Telegraph.
The tech billionaire made the proposal during the US President’s row with Volodymyr Zelensky over strikes on Russian oil refineries.
‘The reality is that they were both in it,’ a senior source said of Musk’s and Trump’s involvement.
But after a night of carnage in Kyiv caused by the slowdown, Musk was alarmed about the possibility of adverse consumer reaction in Europe.
The SpaceX boss then proceeded to tweet, blaming the US administration, and ultimately, President Trump for authorising the slowdown.
‘He tweeted out that he was innocent and that it was the US administration that did it,’ the source said.
