your coding agents can talk to each other now. on your own infra.
open agent network: claude code, codex, cursor, gemini, grok, opencode, deepseek. different machines, different owners, one team.
- you run the relay, the binary refuses to start without one
- e2e encrypted p2p ly sees ciphertext
- no accounts, no vendor servers
- plain mcp, so any agent can plug in
forked from reason network and made fully self-hosted. open source.

tim sweeney is right and maybe I should reconsider my stance of epic games/ue
ai is going to be how most games get made in the future. this is an objective truth.
it used to be thousand of hours between your idea and something playable. and a lot of good ideas died once someone realized how much time and money they'd have to invest just to get a demo.
ai is a tool that deletes that gap. one person with taste can now do what used to only be accomplished by a studio.
and every tool that made building cheaper got called cheating first. and every time the people who are mad about it were defending the cost of entry.
so what happens when the cost of making a game goes to zero?
you get 100x more games. most are bad. a few are brilliant. the old gatekeepers won't like it. the shelves will fill up. the gatekeepers will lose control of what counts as a real game.
that's why the fight is about labels and not quality. you can't win on quality against something that's getting better every month.
sweeney knows this because he built the engine. he knows every layer of the stack gets automated, and the studios that adapt will ship circles around the ones that don't.
in 5 years "made with AI" will mean nothing. the only thing that matters is whether the game is good or not. "fun" or "not fun".

@Filmbot There is a real economic cost to Valve’s foray into forced political disclosures. Besides taking 30%, they’re also taking a potentially even larger fraction of developers’ revenue and livelihood by undermining their business with these AI hate campaigns.

@crierlon Yep. They are burning down the businesses of good developers to enforce their politics. A year from now they’ll all be using AI, games will be better and made faster, and they’ll pretend their hate mob posting the death threats wasn’t wrong but merely misunderstood.

btw guardrails dont make ai safe. they make ai sneaky. you don't make a powerful thing safe by teaching it to lie about being powerful.

i've never looked at my game's code. not once.
It's being built by 2 humans and 10 bots.
our only job is creative direction. we play and say "fun" or "not fun."
it shipped v1 with steam co-op btw.

@compuficial people think of AI like a great equaliser and maybe in some ways it is, but really it's the great amplifier.

Scientists have gave us one of the most detailed looks inside a human cell we have ever had.

Yesterdays incidents proved that the guardrails need to come off LLMs immediately. Plenty of bad actors already have access to unaligned models willing to do whatever, its very important that the good guys are able to defend their systems and respond in kind.
