I haven't used a window manager in a year or more on macOS, just raw dogging it.

Giving shojimac.com a try. A few days in and I'm still on it. The point is, you don't even ask it to help; it just does it.

It's hard to get used to, occasionally frustrating, but still sorta like it. We'll see.

Rolling Counter: a stepper whose digits roll like an odometer

Tap to step, hold to repeat, or drag the number like a dial. 99 → 100 turns all three wheels at once, and the leading zeros fold away

The Arc-clones that are Chromium are:

• aside.com
• yetanotherbrowser.com
• ardia.dev
• crestbrowser.com

I'm typing in this in "Yab" (the 2nd one, "Yet Another Browser").

I already wish I could map ⌘N to a new "Small Window", but you can only map it globally.

And I wish you could update the URL of a pinned tab.

Getting every tiny detail right is hard. Not always necessary either, but a guy can wish.

I really do think `linked-parameters` will change the Icon System game on websites.

blog.master.dev/svg-linked-par…

It means we can use `<img src="/icon.svg">` (caching! lazy loading? alt text, srcset, so much!) and have FULL styling control on the inside. It's all upsides.

Speaking of software, I'm happily using smolmac.com lately after a million years on ImageOptim. No shade to ImageOptim, it just felt pretty locked in stone.

I die.

(Actually, I tried mainlining Dia for a few weeks, and it was almost there for me. But it really needs to sync ALL tabs and have that "Little Arc" feature, then I'm golden.)
We've decided to sunset Arc on December 22, 2026.

That's not an easy sentence to write. We spent years building Arc and celebrating each and every release along the way: we have so much pride and love for what we made alongside the Arc community.

Our priority is to deliver best-in-class security for our members. Keeping a browser secure takes constant, dedicated work that is only increasing in the age of AI. Dia was built from the ground up to meet today’s security standards, so that's where our engineering and security teams will focus moving forward.

We've worked to make switching to @diabrowser as easy as possible for Arc members. Here's how:

· Your passwords, bookmarks, extensions and history come over to Dia seamlessly.
· Spaces, Folders, and Tab Groups are in Dia and import over with your data intact.
· Dia now surpasses Arc benchmarks in stability, speed, and security.
· The browser features you use in Arc are free in Dia, and the AI is optional.

Thank you for using Arc, for pushing us to make it better, and for building alongside us. The team that made Arc is the same team behind Dia, and some of our most ambitious work is just ahead. We'd love for you to be there with us when it lands.

Probably preaching to the choir here too, but...

- All the browsers have adapted from Arc's ideas in some ways. Side tabs, split view, auto video mini windows, etc.
- zen-browser.app is really nice too if you can rock Firefox
- crestbrowser.com is a clone that apparently does Chromium too, but in my quick test was WebKit so 🤷‍♀️
- orionbrowser.com is nice for a WebKit take, also sigmaos.com
- officecommun.com/search looks super interesting??
- vivaldi.com seems the most power-user-y
