Just released the latest Endgame with @Austin_Federa!

For many years, Austin had a similar role in the world of Solana as I did in Ethereum, sitting in the seat of storytelling and GTM.

When we got to know each other at @buidl_conf through mutual friends @ekang426 and @ilblackdragon it reaffirmed I had to invite the person who'd been on this longtime, parallel path to sit down on the show.

Austin is a wonderful conversationalist and unique thinker, and we discuss the trajectory of crypto, the perspectives we came from in Solana and Ethereum, and wading through nihilism to buidl what's next.

Buidl Asia in Seoul was one of my favorite conferences I've been to in a while. The people, the city, the food- all incredible.

seems like events are a hot keyword right now and gaining a lot of traction. I’ve been bullish on offline connections for 9 years, and organizing events and creating a strong brand require a ton of dedication and sacrifice.

this year most conferences including mine are sponsors and funding - I’m barely able to pull it off because I only have one other person who works with me and I do all the planning anyway. It’s going to be hard to be profitable from events - but if you do it right the connections and reputation will pay off in the longer run, and that’s why I do what I do.

now need to do some self reflection. What can I do better? What should I try next?

Here’s what I learned 👉

The Korean market makes up almost 30% of global retail activity- primarily in alts. Telegram and YouTube dominate the market for sharing alpha and signals- everyone from college students to their of trends and actively trading.

Events look much different than here- the talks are packed with people eager to learn and take priority over traditional networking.

All in all, the Korean audience is incredibly informed and active in the crypto space and welcome risk & opportunity.

Last week was a highlight in Korea, thanks to @ekang426 bringing together some of the best minds in crypto and AI for truly honest discussions.
