🚨 SO. ANOTHER MAJOR Announcement. 📷 We've just published our Web3 Grant Program Research & Analysis. Covering 13 programs. 5 tools. 93 pages of work. Challenges & Best Practices. Program Effectiveness. Formulas. Frameworks. Metrics.
The most imp part outside of the learnings and insights (and the part that took us the LONGEST) was figuring out:
- How to measure grant program effectiveness
- How to measure and rank your grant program (maturity framework)
- Impact Metrics
This report is our attempt at tackling measurement and analysis for the first time. We've created a framework that any program can replicate and use, ++ a comprehensive list of metrics that can be used.
Read the report here: docsend.com/v/mkvnn/rfp-4-…
Produced w/ @zer8_future

🚨 Wow. WOW. I just witnessed the most involved and sophisticated phishing attempt I've ever seen and y'all need to know about this.
The TL;DR is that @BeaconLayer reached out invite me onto their show, spent days going over the run-of-show in detail with clearly AI-assisted my work, booked the recording, and then tried to get me to install malware in order to join the call.
Some of you have probably already heard about the similar attempt made on @0xzak but this one was news to me. The difference is that this isn't just someone posing as a producer from a popular show, it's the actual show, which has episodes out and a sizeable audience on @X which makes them look legit. I suspect all of those other guests have malware installed already and I caution everyone to do a security sweep.
I've been cautioning people against deepfake scams for a decade so you'd think I'd have smelled something sooner — it takes real balls to go after cypherpunks specifically — but at least I caught it before they convinced another rube to commit a bash command and give up all of their passwords.
Here's the full story — I have the receipts, and now you do too:

fyi - this attack has been going on for several months now (reporting them doesnt seem to help, since they just create a new account and run the same attack)
they rebranded as @0xBlockwire recently, be careful

The Predicate team with @pumpernikhil @khushii_w and so on are one of the best teams I’ve had the pleasure of doing business with in this industry.
Couldn’t be happier or less surprised to hear the best investors in the space see it makes sense to invest in them.
Excited to see what we cook up together with Miden and overall what they end up doing too.

We are thrilled to announce our $8M Series A to connect regulated markets to onchain finance.
Predicate enables digital assets to reach every market compliantly. We do this by embedding compliance controls directly into digital assets to block high-risk and sanctioned activity To date, Predicate has:
- Screened $1B+ in transaction volume
- Evaluated 6M+ transactions against custom compliance policies
- Blocked 100K+ non-compliant transactions
The round was led by @bcap with participation from @Paxos, @1kxnetwork and @tribecap.

As millions of people continue to take to the streets worldwide, encrypted messaging, VPNs, and privacy tools prove to be far from being niche tech.
They’re how people stay safe while exercising their right to be heard. 🗣️

Sitting in a train crossing the Jamaica station and feeling more inspired than I have in a while. What a dream, to be around people with dreams and aspirations. The hustle and bustle of the city, with people from everywhere, some on parallel paths in life, some who will cross met my husband on an audio app during covid, but we had worked in the same industry and had walked parallel paths for years before then, in media. We were in the same spaces and yet we didn’t connect until we were meant to. I consider it destiny. There are people you haven’t met that you may end up spending your life with, people who will end up becoming your closest friends and ride or die type of friendships. Every interaction as you go through life gets you closer to that, to a fuller life.
It feels intoxicating in a delightful way. I’m brimming with hope thinking about this today 💝

For anyone getting into biology, please consider taking airborne disease resistance more seriously.
It's a super important area of medicine that is a huge cause of death and sickness but easily gets forgotten. We're likely to get many more airborne plagues in the future due to the combination of not just extremely dense and interconnected society (including city and farm animals), but also accidents from bio research and offensive biotech (both from random people and from secret government programs that can easily get themselves exempted from safety restrictions), all enhanced by powerful AI.
Right now, this area is getting way less love than longevity research (which continues to be super important!), but it's an area where there are lots of unclaimed wins that we know exactly how to do (but are not yet doing) with present-day tech:
* early detection
* passive universal testing
* filtration/ventilation/UVC
* better vaccines (including making them open source and open science)
* cryptography to make all of the above privacy-preserving
We can have China-level pandemic resistance with Sweden-level limited intrusion into people's lives, and then go even further. We just have to actually do the work for it.

We're about to enter a period where not reading or writing becomes as ubiquitous as smoking once was. We can hope people will eventually realize this is bad for them, as they did with smoking. But this is far from certain; the cost may not be as obvious.

Still can't get over how cool the projects which were part of the Epoch 13 are.
One of them is paperweight.email built by @wslyvh. Paperweight uses your inbox as a map of your digital footprint. It discovers accounts and services, finds personal information and known breaches, and gives you tools to clean up old emails, unsubscribe and send privacy or deletion requests.
Useful privacy 🫡

Thank you @OctantApp and everyone who contributed to this round. It has been a pleasure and honor to be in this round with all these projects and the support has been absolutely amazing 🙏
It's time to build again 🚀

Every time I see a chart like this I know it makes no statistical sense and is either incentives driven or bad data. In this case it's a circle premint for gateway product, actual supply of euros on Solana went down slightly. Demand for euros onchain remains non-existent.
🇪🇺 LATEST: Solana just added $22M in euro stablecoins in a week, more than every other chain on Token Terminal's list combined.

Miden's partner mainnet is now live!!
Privacy has become one of the biggest conversations in tech, especially in crypto. But something that doesn't get discussed nearly enough is just how difficult it is to actually build and launch something that works.
For years, this industry has struggled with poor UI, bad UX, and products that are simply too complicated for everyday users. Adding privacy to the equation makes that challenge even harder.
That's a big part of why I'm so excited about what we're building at Miden. We believe people shouldn't have to choose between privacy, self-custody, and a great user experience.
Today is a major step toward making that a reality.
We're intentionally limiting access during this initial phase and will gradually open things up over time. But if we've spoken about Miden or Bread Wallet before, please reach out for an access code.
I'd genuinely love to hear what you think. There's still plenty of work ahead of us, and getting real feedback from real users is what makes this next chapter so exciting.

@mikemaccana by far the faster and most secure way to do login and two factor authentication today, by FAR. It's true that UX along platforms does not make it easy, but the TLDR is:
- Get at least 2 new yubikeys, if you get three better.
- Check that the firmware is at least 5.7.x
- Set them to require PIN mandatory
- Disable the modes you are not gonna use like TOTP
- Use them with the FIDO2 mode enabled (that's basically putting a passkey inside a yubikey)
- This way, you have phishing resistant login and 2fa and no risk of cloud totp apps.
Yubikeys are great, but their customer support is not great, I would say if you have any question, let us know, we research them a lot from @opsek_io
You also have our guide here:
