Everytime I find something new and cool and try to show off crypto to my friends and family it doesn't work, metamasm gives errors, etc

It should now be abundantly clear that ETH on Ethereum L1 is a very different beast from stablecoins like USDC and USDT, or ETH on e.g. Arbitrum.
It is time to ask really hard questions: Which “beast” do people really want, and when? And how much capacity should there be to move instantly between them?
Clearly, we still want strongly censorship-resistant assets like ETH and Bitcoin. But in many cases, having an entity that can intervene in the event of a hack can be a positive.
However, the way that power is exercised can feel arbitrary. Is Paolo asleep? Do you have a direct line to Jermey so suddenly they block without court order.
I think it would be good to have assets and rollups that offer an additional layer of protection, but under clear, transparent, consistently applied rules that protect smaller users too, not just the well-connected.

Realized the only thing I'm actually good at and like (ikigai) in crypto is exploring interesting ideas, don't care that much about stablecoins, privacy, etc, respect the people that do and are building the future.
Gonna start posting more stuff I like in crypto atm, just 4 fun

Squeekchain is the most interesting thing in consumer crypto atm, change my mind.
It's a hamster powered blockchain, cute idea with memetic potential for onboarding people.

It will take all of us to defend this industry during these historic times.
The Arbitrum Security Council has taken emergency action to rescue the 74,559,805 ARB and 8,425 ETH being held in the address on Arbitrum One that is identified as connected to the Binance exploit. The Security Council acted by weighing its commitment to the security and integrity of the Arbitrum community and Arbitrum governance without impacting any Arbitrum users or applications.
After significant technical diligence and deliberation, the Security Council identified and executed a technical approach to move funds to safety without affecting any other chain state or other Arbitrum users.
As of October 30, 2026 time, the funds have been successfully transferred to an intermediary frozen wallet. They are no longer accessible to the address that originally held the funds, and can only be moved by further action of the Security Council or a vote of Arbitrum DAO governance, which will be coordinated with relevant parties.

it has become complete counter-consensus to be bullish onchain now, have never seen sentiment this bad & ive been here ~9 years
crypto twitter has forgotten that it requires actual work on the builder side to make coins do well, so many traders complaining about lower ceilings on coins and not nearly enough people actually trying to build interesting protocols and/or to change that dynamic

In a few days I am joining the DeSci Hub in @EFDevcon to reverse engineer desirable futures and map the path to them!
3 years ago I did this for the first time in @zuvillage led by the @foresightinst, and it has been one of my favorite clarity practices since.
It is a pleasure to bring this experience now to more people!
