Sony really understood the assignment with Venom Horse, and I'll die on this hill, this is what superhero movies should be about sometimes.
People complain about superhero fatigue, then complain when a movie actually tries something ridiculous and entertaining. Not every be a serious, emotional masterpiece.

My coworker begged me to cover for him after he made a serious mistake.
He had two children, a mortgage, and a wife who had just lost her job.
“If they fire me, my family is finished,” he said.
I wanted to help.
But covering for him meant changing an official report and blaming another employee.
I refused.
He called me heartless.
A week later, the investigation revealed that the mistake had affected several clients.
The employee he wanted me to blame could have lost her career over it.
My coworker was disciplined.
I still felt sorry for his family.
But I learned something uncomfortable:
Compassion doesn’t require you to help someone harm an innocent person.
He had two children, a mortgage, and a wife who had just lost her job.

I wanted to help.
