I’m gonna make you an offer you can’t refuse, but first, let me say this:
The problem with many of you is that you speak with words you don’t understand.
It’s like playing cards without knowing the rules.
You think you’re making moves, but you’re just gambling.

A man discovers what he’s truly made of when he’s alone.
It’s not the crowd that shapes him.
The noise, the opinions, the endless distractions.
They mean nothing.
It’s in the silence, when there’s no one to cheer for you or hold your hand, that you come face to face with yourself.
That’s where your strength is forged, where your character is tested.
The crowd can’t give you that.
Only solitude can.
A man who fears being alone will never know his true power.

If there is one thing I can do for them.
The dead.
It is to win and keep on winning until I attain my dream.

The three voices in the mind.
The ego speaks through identification its language revolves around I, me and mine: I am worthless, I am angry, I need this, I deserve this, I cannot allow them to disrespect me.
The ego takes a temporary experience and attaches it directly to identity. Anger is no longer something being experienced: I am angry, fear is no longer passing through the psyche: I am afraid, a desire arises in the body and immediately becomes I want. This is how awareness becomes absorbed into it’s psychological mask instead of standing above the contents of consciousness and observing them, the observer collapses into what it observes and temporarily mistakes the condition of the mind for the identity of the Self.
The adversary operates differently. Its function is opposition, accusation, temptation and persuasion. Psychologically, it often appears as thought addressing the individual. You are worthless, you cannot do this, you deserve even more, nobody will know, do it now and change tomorrow. It is particularly powerful because it rarely presents itself as an obvious destruction. It reasons with us. The body produces a craving, but thought gives the craving an argument. Lust arises and the mind explains why it should be satisfied. Anger arises and thought produces a case for retaliation. Fear arises and thought explains why avoidance is sensible.
The Adversary does not need to physically control the person. It only needs to persuade awareness to give the impulse its will.
The Holy Spirit represents the movement towards truth, conscience, order and the higher Will Of God. Unlike the endless negotiation of egoic thought, this knowing is often remarkably simple. Beneath the argument, we already know: Do not send the message. Leave it alone. Tell the truth. Get up. Keep your word. Forgive them. Do what is right. It does not require panic or compulsive reasoning because the truth does not need to continually negotiate with desire. The difficulty is that this quieter knowing can be buried beneath the psychological noise produced by fear, craving, pride and self justification.

I don’t like taking painkillers.
I don’t do drugs.
I don’t drink alcohol.
I like to feel and be in control of absolutely everything that has to do with my being.
God makes you feel pain for a reason so embrace it.
No matter how hard it may be, grit your teeth and embrace the pain.
Don’t give your mind and spirit to an outside source.
That’s effectively what doing drugs and getting drunk is.
It’s a form of “possession.”
An outside entity or thing is taking control of your consciousness through those substances you are putting into your body.
Control yourself absolutely and feel everything that your body is meant to feel.
Good or bad.
Ecstasy or suffering.

The strongest man in the Bible was defeated by lust.
Lust will take away your strength and is one thing that can directly combat your strength in a negative way.
