The project below has been on hiatus mostly due to some technical limitations of running computers on SD cards. Finally found some time to improve on things. Would be using be sharing the journey here.

The end goal is to rebuild the home computer lab from scratch.
Current pet project is building a home lab anchored on low powered arm devices trying to avoid x86 chips if I can. thing I love about arm is you can find a device designed to do 1 thing & do it well, efficiently without fuss & most importantly with low power footprint.

That. And even more so because of the lack of alternative routes.

The Airport Road, aka the Inner Southern Expressway, is practically the only major artery connecting the Abuja CBD to the densely populated satellite towns along the south-western corridor of Abuja.

Lugbe, Gosa, Kuje, all the way to Gwagwalada, depend heavily on this route.

Then there's the lack of adequate, dedicated bus stops, which forces commercial vehicles to permanently occupy part of the road while picking up and dropping off passengers.

This forces A five-lane road effectively gets squeezed into a single lane at certain points, creating bottlenecks.
Been a while since I did the Abuja airport road during rush hour. Didn't realize how much traffic it now carries. Abuja's poorly planned public transport system puts too much pressure on roads.

Best manager in United History long may you reign. Take it from a United Fan. We love what you are doing.

I think quite a few people have misunderstood the point of my post. Looking back, perhaps the wording was a little sensationalist.

The intention isn't to scare people away from EVs or portray them as ticking time bombs. EVs are generally very safe, and battery damage from underbody impacts isn't a widespread occurrence.

The point is simply to highlight something EV owners should be aware of.

Even with 140 mm of ground clearance, you'll be fine. Just exercise caution on rough, uneven roads, just as you would with a comparable ICE vehicle.

EVs already come with factory underbody battery protection, which is adequate for everyday use. An additional titanium guard is simply another layer of protection, much like insurance.

Besides, ICE vehicles also have fuel tanks underneath them, carrying 50 litres or more of highly flammable fuel.

The takeaway is simple: be aware, take reasonable precautions and drive carefully.
This is the Achilles' heel of EVs. Damage to the underbody can destroy the battery pack, potentially write off the car or even cause a fire.

In Nigeria, where our roads can be rough bumpy protecting your EV's underside is very very important.

One way I mitigated against this with good ground clearance 170mm+ is decent enough.

- added a Titanium underbody guard for extra battery protection. I'd strongly recommend this upgrade to anyone driving an EV.

The Hollywood blockbuster based on this event is filled with fabrications and embellishments of the truth:

•The Taliban commander was not a Bin Laden associate. He was a low-level militia leader with 10 or so fighters.

•The firefight was not against 100s of Taliban as the film claims.

•The final village battle didn't happen. The "lone survivor" was not nearly beheaded, but was saved under the Pashtun code of honour rather than fighting his way out of a siege.

In the video, you hear a Taliban fighter say, "If you don't strike, we don't kill you."

The "true" account below quotes no sources from the opposing side.

But what it does do is expose the spectacular lies told to justify occupation and invasion.

You have to read between the lines.

🇺🇸🇦🇫 17 minutes of footage the Taliban filmed during the ambush that became Lone Survivor

In June 2005, four Navy SEALs were ambushed on an Afghan mountain during Operation Red Wings, and 19 Americans died before the day was over.

A POLITICO investigation this year found the rent from Hollywood's version, with around 9 or 10 militants instead of 140 and no vote on killing the goat herders in Marcus Luttrell's first debrief.

1:05 The ambush begins. Luttrell says he fired first, though a militant later claimed none of their fighters died

3:46 A scream, believed to be Danny Dietz. Luttrell's debrief says Dietz cried out for help behind him and he never saw him again

4:25 Someone yells "There is no other place to jump!"

5:55 A shout some hear as "Troops in contact." Base did get a call with gunfire and heavy breathing asking for air support

6:02 A militant says "if you don't fight, we won't kill you"

6:08 The most disputed audio. Some hear "Mikey, come back," others hear "Marcus, come back"

6:30 A voice calling for Marcus, perhaps after the satellite call

8:18 Believed to be the RPG blast that separated Luttrell from Matthew Axelson

14:58 The militants show off American rifles and gear taken from the SEALs

Even if you have all the gears, people who know the location still might have an edge.
I can understand Russia struggling in Ukraine, given that the latter has the full backing of NATO and its allies.

But how the fuck did this bunch of DIY militia on their own.. defeat NATO forces so decisively that the world's most powerful military alliance had to negotiate safe passage just to get out of Afghanistan?

You won't believe this but corruption is the major reason. Couple with the fact that they had no clear goals- it kept shifting. Horrible terrain plus the country is bordered by Pakistan so no real change can happen with those neighbors.

Replying to @bigbrovar
@bigbrovar More importantly, the video emphatically & unambiguously convey his wishes to members of his family - his primary target, not us the commentariat.

And knowing how superstitious we are, this counts as a big deternce to members of his family wanting to go against his wishes.

A lot of people are missing the point of the video. It's not intended to serve as a will but to support an existing one.

My interpretation is that he recently made his will and recorded the video for two reasons:

1. To confirm that the will reflects his actual wishes.
2. To pre-empt any attempt to challenge the will on grounds of mental incapacity, particularly given the circumstances of his anticipated death.

Notice how much emphasis he places on his awareness of his surroundings, his ability to communicate clearly and even his ability to drive.

The entire video appears designed to establish evidence of his mental capacity and protect the validity of his will.
As sad as this is, this video he recorded giving all his properties to his wife CANNOT serve as a valid Will under Nigerian law.

And the fact that he clearly mentioned his name, identified his wife and said nobody was forcing him doesn’t change that.

Under section 6 of the Wills Law applicable in Ondo State, a Will must be in writing, signed by the person making it and witnessed by at least two people who are present at the same time and also sign in his presence.

The man was alone in his car. None of those requirements was satisfied by the recording.

Now, the video isn’t necessarily useless. If properly admitted as electronic evidence, it could help establish what he wanted to happen to his properties after his death. But proving what someone wanted and having a legally valid Will are two different things.

So what happens to his properties now?

If that video was his only attempt at making a Will, and no other valid Will exists, he would generally be regarded as having died intestate. In simple terms, he died without a legally valid Will.

And that changes things.

His wife doesn’t automatically inherit everything simply because he mentioned her in the video. The law applicable to his estate will determine who inherits what.

He reportedly left behind a wife and three children. Their respective entitlements will depend on factors including the type of marriage he contracted and the succession law applicable to his estate.

The appropriate persons would ordinarily have to obtain Letters of Administration to manage his estate, settle outstanding obligations and distribute the remaining properties according to law.

There are limited exceptions under certain customary and Islamic succession rules, but nothing presently established suggests that this video satisfies them.

It’s an unfortunate situation, particularly because he appeared to have been very deliberate about who should receive his properties.

But the law doesn’t treat every expression of a person’s final wishes as a valid Will.

Taribo West was dropped from USA and Tunnisia 94. Celestine Babayaro, Tijani and Kanu didn't make it to USA 94, Ikpeba was benched all through USA 94, Okocha barely saw actions in USA 94, Efan Ekoku sat out USA 94 and Tunnisia. Christopher Ohenen one of the best strikers in Spain never even got called up.

But Sam Ajayi would make it abi?

Recency bias is truly a thing.
Calvin Bassey will walk into any version of the Super Eagles.

Osimhen will walk into any version of the Super Eagles.

Ola Aina will walk into any version of the Super Eagles.

Semi Ajayi will walk into any version of the super Eagles.

The present midfield is debatable but that's not to say the 1994 Midfield had better players but they just had player who were more rugged.

Ethiopia expecting S400 ADMs, model presented by Russians. SURE to come.

Pre-2015, Nigeria got presented with a model of a submarine by the Chinese. They never arrived
