Most animals are people in the ways that matter. They have personalities and a subjective experience of the world.

Doing calculus, or putting on clothes is not what makes someone a someone. Being a unique individual with their own thoughts is what makes someone a someone.
cetaceans are very obviously “people” and sapient to a degree indistinguishable from humans, and this is basically scientific consensus at this point.
Community note
While cetaceans show advanced cognition like self-recognition in some species and complex sociality, claims they are “people” sapient indistinguishably from humans are not scientific consensus and remain contested.

As far as animal rights activists go vegans are by far the most polite.

Meat eaters will threaten to kill you if you cause an animal they find cute mild distress.

Like obviously this is the internet and you can find aggressive people but this has nothing to do with veganism.

I’ve looked at the comments from a lot of justice movements and I don’t see a unique level of impoliteness coming from vegans.

Pro life vs pro choice. They polite?

Dog and cat people are the same. Horse people too.

Vegans are comparatively docile.

And take a moment to understand the vegans perspective. You are defending the rape and murder of beings we care about. Often times you laugh at animal suffering. Vegans mostly just take it.

I never understood devout animal rights activists who weren’t vegan, so this is great to see!
Curtis Sliwa tells PIX 11 News that he's becoming a vegan to stand up for animal rights.

Do you think toga and the thousands of people who liked this genuinely believe vegans think whites are superior and minorities and animals belong in some inferior category?

I don’t have a good theory of mind of these people. I have to assume they know they are lying about vegans
White vegans rly be showin they ass on here with that shit 😭 “yeah man i believe minorities are 1:1 with animals but im not a white supremacist bro trust me”

People don’t like to be reminded that they share the same bigotry they despise in others.

It’s offensive to compare humans and animals because?
Animals are less intelligent
Don’t look like us
Don’t share our genes
Don’t share our language

These are all bigoted reasons.
I agree with like 80% of what vegans have to say about the meat industry and its ethical and ecological implications but this equating animals with minorities thing they do is never going to do anything but harm their message

I feel so fortunate to have access to plant based foods and don’t have to eat dead bodies like this.

I will never understand why someone would choose to partake in this barbarity when they don’t have to.
Pig meat is delicious 🤤

Non vegans view saving animals the same way they view salvaging a TV.

As an object that can be used as entertainment or resources.

The vegan mind cannot understand this because we view animals as individuals with inherent value. The non vegan will always seem sociopathic to us.
En Inglaterra, unos bomberos rescataron a 18 lechones de un incendio. Meses después, la granjera les agradeció con salchichas elaboradas con la carne de algunos de los mismos animales que habían salvado.

Meat eaters have no idea what they are defending do they?

Animals are not having consensual sex, they are being bred. They are treated like machines.

Imagine trying to spin the people against killing animals as the bad guys.
Vegans would harm everyone for their own righteousness. It is exactly like Christianity.

This is probably gonna be my last post on this topic because people don’t have the cognitive capacity to follow the conversation.

But no vegan supports harming cats. The vegan position is that we should use technology to create a meat free alternative thats proven healthy.
@RaidenFan404 @baselessassert @melvv145 The cat doesnt care so it is about your own personal feelings at the end of the day. Factory farming is disgusting, yes, and I'm vegan myself because of that but again, the cat does not care, just like it doesn't care about the birds and rodents it kills either

People are actually not capable of following the conversation. They will just repeat “cats are carnivores”

And by people I mean every meat eater and about 75 percent of vegans.

So it’s actually a waste of time. Choose your battles.

Out of all the arguments against vegan pets this is by far the dumbest.

The logical conclusion of this is letting your dog eat cats and bite children.

Everyone imposes their morality on their pets.

Palm oil is in many processed foods. It has nothing to do with veganism. Vegan sources of protein like tofu have no palm oil. I’ve been vegan 10 years and I almost never eat palm oil.

But let’s take a look at what’s driving deforestation.
Sorry not sorry but I vehemently think that Western vegans can never assume the higher moral ground for not consuming animals, when most vegan products rely on palm oil and palm oil plantations contribute to massive deforestation and fires that kill so many wildlife in Indonesia.

Vegans are usually more ingredient conscious so even the most processed vegan foods like beyond burgers avoid palm oil.

Palm oil is in candy and chips and stuff like that. Lumping mainstream candy and potato chips in with vegans is disingenuous.
