Hard to overstate the levels of deeply entrenched institutional incompetence a lot of these blue states have going on in them, you think it can’t be that bad but then the rubber meats the road and yeah… yeah it is that bad

Replying to @LayoffAI
@USLaborIG @USDOL. Something smells fishy here! How is it possible that DOL is approving PERMs at the rate of 900/day now? I see weekend approvals too!
Is AI approving those? Who is in charge of AI?

GREEN CARD APPROVALS HAVE RAMPED ALL YEAR

Green card labor certifications went from 11,922 in January to 18,183 in June. That's a 53% jump in the Labor Department's own PERM file.

January to June 2026 brought 87,829 certifications. The same months of 2025 brought 72,425.
une had 915, the most of any month since at least October 2024. The denial rate went from 2.9% to 4.8%.

All of it came before July 8. That's when the Labor Inspector General opened its H-1B and PERM fraud investigation.

Will be interesting to see if this trend continues when we get the next data drop.

why are buses driving into flood water or even running
A student in Port St Lucie today was released off the bus into thigh-deep flood waters. You'll then notice, while walking to his house, he likely steps into a ditch and goes deeper into the water. Credit: Tina Gamez-Elieson

Can everyone tell me your favorite soup. It's soup season and I want to make a soup calendar, and introduce soups I had not considered. Stew is also welcomed

The GOP is once again obsessed with importing and pandering to a minority group that refuses to vote for them

Well. It's much more dangerous for a Learjet than it is for something like an airbus or 747 though.
Ok so turbulence IS dangerous.

Well that’s every nervous flyer fucked.

Indian Americans remain the second most loyal voting bloc to Democrats.

How does it benefit Republicans to keep importing them?

God bless you @BrendanCarrFCC - so many years in the making.
The United States plans to bar Chinese telecommunications companies from direct access to American phone numbers on national security grounds, a move aimed at curbing scam-related robocalls.

The Federal Communications Commission announced it will vote on Nov. 19 on a proposal to block China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom, and other IP-enabled service providers from obtaining direct access.

Direct number access serves as a cost-effective channel for Voice over Internet Protocol providers, allowing them to route digital voice data over broadband networks while deploying advanced calling features.

FCC Chairman Brendan Carr stated that the decision will reinforce the agency's frontline defenses against fraudulent operators and malicious callers.

China's foreign ministry firmly condemned the impending restrictions, accusing Washington of overstretching the concept of national security and misusing state authority to suppress Chinese firms.

Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun warned that Beijing will take necessary countermeasures to resolutely protect its legitimate commercial rights and interests.

The FCC also intends to bar IP-enabled service providers that incorporate hardware from blacklisted suppliers deemed security risks, including Huawei and ZTE.

The agency separately plans to ban all Chinese laboratories from testing U.S. electronics beginning in December 2028, while weighing the revocation of existing number authorizations for Chinese companies flagged as risks.

The proposal follows prior regulatory crackdowns in which the FCC revoked the operating licenses of China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom to provide international telecommunications services in the United States.

Regulators are considering further sanctions, including barring Chinese carriers from connecting to domestic networks and prohibiting them from operating data centers on U.S. soil.

Espionage concerns have intensified following revelations in late 2024 that the Chinese state-sponsored cyber espionage group Salt Typhoon breached U.S. telecommunications infrastructure and exfiltrated consumer call data.

The FBI warned earlier this year that threats stemming from the Salt Typhoon campaign remain active and ongoing.

In July, the FCC added California-based Digitalsystem Technology to its national security risk list, citing its ownership by a Chinese national and direct ties to Chinese telecommunications firms.

China has consistently denied any wrongdoing or involvement in state-directed cyber operations.

OPERATION PROTECT THE VOTE

My office today charged six more noncitizens for illegally registering and voting, bringing California’s total to 34.

Defendants announced today:

• Sirgalahad Camua, 43, of Palmdale, voted by mail in May 2020, November 2024 and June 2026.

• of Palmdale, voted by mail in November 2022.

• Moria Dahan, 35, of West Hills, voted in person in the November 2024 general election.

• Chad Goertz, 52, of Agua Dulce, voted by mail in November 2022 and November 2024.

• Mahyar Nikzad, 35, of Canoga Park, voted in March and November 2024.

• Gilberto Ruiz, 46, of Palmdale, voted by mail in November 2022, March 2024 and November 2024.

We have charged 34 defendants in Operation Protect the Vote. Every name was on the list provided to California officials. Every illegal ballot dilutes an American citizen’s vote, which is illegal and unconstitutional.

Every person charged is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

The TRO issued by a San Francisco judge purporting to restrict DOJ investigations into election officials has been appropriately lifted. Conducting criminal investigations is a core function of the executive branch, not the judiciary.
BREAKING: In a 2-1 vote, the Ninth Circuit lifted restrictions on the Trump administration's efforts to have states set aside ballots from suspected noncitizens, allowing it to resume such requests, warn election officials of prosecution, and pursue related investigative steps.
