From fabricating steel in a garage in the 1990s to building an end-to-end manufacturing operation, Haas Metal Engineering (HME) is an American success story.

Alongside Senator @RogerMarshallMD and @RepDerekSchmidt, I toured HME's manufacturing floor and paint shop to see how the mponents being made in Kansas are helping build new manufacturing facilities across the country as @POTUS ushers in a new manufacturing renaissance.

@KuInnovation is creating 8,000 new jobs in Kansas. During my visit, I saw how the Jayhawks are connecting educators and job creators at its cutting-edge research into new technologies and translate that innovation into American Jobs.

A @USDOL grant assisted in creating @KansasCityKSCC's Commercial Construction Technology Training Program to provide students with the hands-on training and skills needed to fill the commercial construction jobs being created in their local communities.

Senator @RogerMarshallMD ty to visit KCKCC's Downtown Campus to see how this program and other initiatives, like the employer-guided Automation Engineer Program, are creating pathways for students to pursue high-paying careers close to home.

Stepping into the weekend like @POTUS 🇺🇸

A household name with roots dating back to 1868, @Scotts_MGro has been a part of American homes and communities for generations.

I toured the company's California manufacturing facility to see its operations firsthand and discuss how on-the-job training, high school employment initiatives are helping to build and retain the workforce that will carry its historic legacy forward.

Together with the @USTradeRep, @USDOL has successfully resolved workplace violations to ensure this facility cannot exploit weak labor standards jobs.

I toured @GrimmwayFarms' Malaga processing facility for a firsthand look at how one of America's leading producers of carrots, potatoes, and organic vegetables is using technology to deliver fresh, healthy, and safe produce to American families.

At @USDOL, we're ensuring he skills and training needed to keep pace with advances in agricultural technology — supporting job creators like Grimmway and strengthening American agriculture.

At @UCSanDiego, I had the opportunity to see how its Extended Studies workforce training program is equipping workers with the skills they need to succeed and meet the evolving needs of Job Creators across industries from SI and cybersecurity to biotech and healthcare — and to continue supporting these vital workforce initiatives.

I toured the training center of Wonderful Career Center to see firsthand how it’s preparing American Workers for success through hands-on, industry-driven training—including a paid Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship that combines on-the-job experience with college credit, ke its Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Program, and direct connections with Job Creators.

I toured its Visalia processing facility to learn more about how they deliver delicious dairy products across California and the western United States — and to discuss how n can continue delivering for all American dairy farmers, ensuring American dairy remains the best in the world!

.@USDOL will not tolerate those who put the safety of American Workers in jeopardy, and when employers fail to protect their employees, we’ll continue to take enforcement action to ensure their safety.
 
@OSHA_DOL has cited 6 construction employers for willful and serious safety cavation hazards and proposed over $600,000 in penalties.

It was a pleasure to join U.S. Labor Secretary Keith Sonderling and local officials for a tour of the VOLT Institute in Modesto. VOLT supports Central Valley industries through workforce training and job placement, including industrial automation, controls, robotics, electrical .

Worker safety is non-negotiable.

@OSHA_DOL recently cited an Illinois construction company for repeatedly exposing workers to dangerous trench hazards, including an unprotected trench deeper than 8 feet.

Employers must protect workers from preventable injuries and deaths.

American workers deserve access to great benefits — and public-private partnerships can help make that happen.

@USDOL joined representatives from @HHSGov, Google, Meta, Axon Enterprise Inc, Amazon, and Oracle Corp. to express support for expanding electronic prior authorization markets.

Reforms like standardizing all prior authorization submissions, reducing the volume of medical procedures that require preapproval, and making sure medical professionals review all clinical denials will lead to better benefits options for hardworking Americans.

The end result will be more transparency, better communication, and better service for American workers and employers.
