I'm hiring at @perplexity_ai and looking for someone with a very particular set of skills. the ideal candidate...
• eats, sleeps, and breathes native mobile apps (esp iOS) and probably preordered the Duo
• has strong visual/animation chops and a knack for bringing brands to life in product
• is very comfortable prototyping on device, vibing out some SwiftUI in Xcode, and putting up their own PRs
if that sounds like you, DM me a video of something you've built in the last six months (either on the clock or on the side), specifically on/for mobile, that you're super proud of. and if it sounds like someone you know, tag them in the replies!

🌸 NEW WORK FOR THE PHS PHILADELPHIA FLOWER SHOW 🌸
Earlier this year Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) approached us to help come up with the identity and key visuals for their 2027 flower show. It was called ICONIC so we knew we wanted the flowers to feel monumental. We er Bre Furlong (breannefurlong.com) to shoot 18 beautifully unique florals in stunning detail. These beauties are gonna look incredible on banners and billboards all over Philadelphia this winter.

built on curiosity
NEW: I sat down w/ Perplexity Founder & CEO Aravind Srinivas (@AravSrinivas) on why AI-native SMBs could drive the next American millionaire economic boom.
@perplexity_ai, valued at ~$20B with ~$2B in reported funding, $750M in annualized revenue as of August, seeing 5x YoY reves from search into autonomous agents.
One example Aravind shared is a single-person company generating $3M in annual revenue while spending over $1M a year on Perplexity Computer.
His thesis is that AI could fundamentally change the economics of building a business. Smaller teams, less capital, higher productivity, & entirely new business models.
At the infrastructure layer, Aravind sees a shift toward local & hybrid inference, with AI agents operating across personal devices and the cloud. As context windows expand and workloads become more personalized, local compute becomes increasingly cost-competitive, while offering greater privacy, control & data sovereignty.
We cover:
› Why SMBs could become a major driver of US GDP growth
› The shift from AI models to agents & recursive economics
› Why Perplexity is betting on your Mac instead of building data centers
› NVIDIA, Apple Silicon, local inference & sovereign AI
› Why writing code is no longer the bottleneck, but problem-solving is
