Perfect definition. You want to minimize time managing while maximizing output
Nik Storonsky sorts Revolut employees into 4 tiers
▫️ brilliant: they find the goal and reach it alone. "self-guided missiles"
▫️ good: give them the goal and they hit it
▫️ average: weekly iterations to get there
▫️ below average: most likely miss it anyway
his rule: minimize son. Asked if he fires the average ones: "I do, yes"
Winning first. Empathy second.

I actually been telling my father this already since 1 year ago, to exercise, sleep well, eat well and take care of himself, because if he hangs out for a couple more years, he might be able to spend some great time with me in Ibiza in 5 years
It really sucks watching your parents grow old and get weaker each year.
I’m just telling them to hang in there for a few more years, until around 2030.
Great rejuvenation for everyone is coming.
With today’s rate of progress (which will soon translate into advances in medicine), as it already has in mathematics, we can expect a century / even centuries worth of medical progress in just a few years.
After 2030, it will accelerate even more.
At some point, that progress will reach a finish line, simply because biology is not infinitely complex. Once it’s solved, that will be it. All diseases will be fully understood and curable, including aging.
When biology is fully “solved” we will move on to advanced genetic engineering, nanotechnology, cybernetic enhancements and other tech, making our bodies capable of far more than biology alone can offer.
We will move beyond biological limits. This will be age of superhumans.

Revenue quality above all. Unit economics needs always to work as soon as possible, or at least have a clear viable path for it
I pulled the Character bankruptcy docs. They show:
- They were spending $14 million/month on compute alone at a time their revenue was around ~$1 million/month
- Currently losing $9 million a month
- They admitted they enshittified & that it didnt work

The pure ambition, obsession, and love Gaudí poured into every inch is the ultimate reminder: build generational things. Insane privilege to call this our daily view
We are next to the most ambitious building in the world. Started in 1882, it's still under construction, and the whole planet comes to see it. Gaudí used to say his client was in no hurry.
Ours are. In 2023 Didit was two brothers and two laptops. Today more than 3,000 companies it was our turn to have visitors. It poured, and 80 people from the startup scene still came to see us.
What a night, Barcelona. Didit was born in this city, and we like what it’s turning into.
Thank you all for coming. More on each talk next week.

It takes a psychopathic and sociopathic level of dedication to make it out of this system, you cant just want it enough to try when its convenient, if you want to be immense, top 0.0001% you have to push yourself to places that are not human
The sheer intensity of self command, the willingness to become indifferent to distraction, social approval, temporary discomfort and the endless invitations to dilute your own potential, delay gratification, cut costs, focus explicitly on a tiny number of variables for a fixed period of time, to not even entertain the possibility it can be any other way, you have to want it more than anyone else with an obsession that borders on madness, you're adapting whilst they're resting, dude is chilling with his girlfriend cuddling, you are in the trenches scheming more upward mobility, whilst they're complaining your hunting for edges and scanning relentlessly for your next advantage
You have to become extraordinarily selective about what receives access to your mind, your time, your energy and your future. Most people are not defeated by one catastrophic event, they are slowly yet surely disassembled by a thousand small concessions, weak friendships, poor financial decisions, fragmented attention, cheap pleasures, emotional volatility and years spent negotiating with standards they already know they must uphold daily relentlessly
Treat life as an integrated system, protect biology, sharpen judgement, accumulating capital, building competence and refuse to allow temporary emotional states to govern permanent decisions
Even when you're winning you have to be violently honest about where you are slacking and where you are losing momentum, even 30 minutes a day over a year is 182.5 hours, or about 4.5 full time work weeks, you must push harder and you must enjoy the process of knowing you are willing to go further than the next man,I can take more pain than you I can forget my emotions quicker and more repeatedly than you can, my decisions are more objective than yours are, I will outlast you in spirit and action
There is something almost frightening about the individual who can sustain intelligent effort for years without requiring the world to continually reassure him that victory is coming
He is not merely working harder, he is becoming increasingly difficult to interrupt, corrupt, discourage or disorganise repeatedly to turn his spirit, mind and soul into one organised system of task decimation for a broader task of fuliflling the committment he made to himself many nights ago

SpaceX now has acquired license to operate 2 GHz and 800 MHz bands. That means being able to finally offering connectivity both indoor or outdoor. Game changing
We announced an agreement to acquire a nationwide low-band spectrum license portfolio that will pave the way for @Starlink to become a major mobile carrier in the US.

Went through part of my story
> 8 years old: competitive tennis, 7 days a week
> 15: quit tennis. clubbing, selling nightlife tickets, bartending
> got kicked out of 3 schools
> 19: something felt wrong. opened a book for the first time
> graduated top of all the engineering degrees in my year
> 2019: AI researcher
> realized I was in the rat race and followed my passion
> first company: 0 to 33 employees, then the suffering
> Didit + opening a clinic, two months from bankruptcy
> now: building fucking empires w/ my twin. unstoppables
Looking back, my life was always obsessions. One at a time, all in.
And you only get things when you really deserve them and have suffered enough.
Luckily I always had my twin brother @_arosasg next to me in this lucky life ❤️

How can you not be bullish in rejuvenation?
Speaking about scientific revolution: Zuckerberg’s Biohub is teaming up with Google DeepMind, Meta and the U.S. government on a $1.8B effort to build AI models of living cells.
"We're at the beginning of a new scientific paradigm with AI," Biohub head of science Alex Rives told universal virtual cell” that lets scientists test experiments digitally, then choose the most promising ones to run in the lab.
DeepMind, Isomorphic Labs and Meta are collectively investing $300M. The $1.8B total combines funding, data, computing and measurement technology, including resources developed through prior NIH investment.

@diditg code is no longer the bottleneck. Reviewing it is.
The reviewer has to be able to say no, and the loop has to get the fix done without anyone chasing it. We are now finding ways to unblock that bottleneck, mostly to make sure to don't add functionalities which are not aligned with the product vision, or "fixes" that has unintended consequences.
