For various reasons we went with dragon age origins instead, and while it turned out operating the controllers is too hard for him right now, my dad reads all the dialogue options and makes the plots decisions. I quiz him on what’s happened and who the characters are
We’ve seen such rapid improvement in the month since we started!! It had felt like his stroke recovery had been stalling, but we’ve seen not just his reading comprehension improve but also his day to day understanding & general life aptitude have been clearly getting better since we began
I think it basically just made “1-2 hours of speech therapy at home with family every day” fun but that’s really important!
Anyway, I wanted to share in case it’s helpful for anyone with a relative who’s struggling with aphasia. Also, ucsf is running a clinical trial on the effects of different kinds of exercise on stroke patients in a couple of months and I think they’re still recruiting! Reach out to me if you’d like details on it : )

I think it is encouraging to see more platforms and aggregators develop AI labeling solutions (they should also all partner with @pangram to build models for their platform).

itch now lets you hide AI-made games in search results too
Tick "No AI" and you only see games where the dev has declared no generative AI was used. Also filter by AI graphics, audio, text or code
Should Steam add a filter like this next?

Ultimately, a consumer should know how their product was made, and they should be allowed to make an informed decision with that information.
