Be on the look out for the next episode of Reformed by the Word: A P&R Podcast from @prpbooks. I had a great time interviewing Dr. Douglas Sean O'Donnell (of @crossway) about his commentary on Ecclesiastes and the companion Bible study volume published a couple of years ago. The episek!

Thank you, @prpbooks for the review copy of @jonathanlcruse's new children's book, "The Upside-Down Inside-Out Can't-Believe-It Kingdom." The story itself presents a basic gospel presentation highlighting the heavenly wisdom of the Kingdom of God. I especially appreciated the eary readers (or hearers) to come to Christ for spiritual life.

The writing is easy to read (or for our little ones, listen to) and understand, and the artwork is excellent. The only issue I have is that we CAN—even, MUST—believe it, but only by the Spirit's power!

As a father of six (and a pastor of a church of 50% small children), I heartily recommend this book to you!

It's been a while, but I was glad to write "The Value of Wisdom" for an ongoing series hosted by the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals (@confessevangel) blog "Theology for Everyone" on The Place for Truth page.

In the expositional reflection, I observe the supreme value of ed in Proverbs 3:13-36. In fact, Christ Himself is Wisdom incarnate. Nothing is more valuable, and we are called to live with Him now and forevermore. In Christ, we are incalculably rich!

You can read more in the link included in the thread below.

A new episode of “Reformed by the Word” is up on all streaming platforms. Will Burrows joined me as our guest host to discuss 1 & 2 Kings with Dr. Phil Ryken.

Also, my friend Bo Collins hopped on to share about how his church used our 1 Kings study over the summer.

What a joy and privilege to preach Christ in Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary's chapel last week.

"For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves are your bond-servants for Jesus' sake" (2 Corinthians 4:5).

Tomorrow, I am going to the fall stated meeting of the Mission to North America (MNA) Permanent Committee of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). Will you pray for us? Pray specifically for the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.

Provide and Protect by my friend @BrianCosby18 is now available for purchase (on @amazon and B&N - links in thread below). I heartily endorse this new book, and Antioch Presbyterian Church - PCA will be using it in our Men of the Covenant ministry.

Here's what I had to say about it: , Brian Cosby has given men a field manual for countering the three-headed spiritual insurgency of wokeness, weakness, and compromise so prevalent in our society (and churches) today. There are many helpful books out there on leadership, personal discipline, work, and masculinity from both biblical and not-so-biblical perspectives. What sets Provide and Protect apart is its usefulness as a balanced theoretico-practical manual for how to be about the daily business of taking on the cultural forces that are poisoning and emasculating modern men who know they were made to exercise Christ-exalting dominion where God has placed them. As a guide for pursuing a truly biblical masculinity, I cannot think of a better resource out there today. May it be used by men of good faith to great effect in our families, churches, workplaces, schools, and commonwealth."

Today, I have the great delight of worshipping w/ Pastor Bo Collins, his lovely family, and the saints at Redeemer PCA in Southern Pines, NC.

I miss Old Antioch, but what a joy to meet with God’s people in other places. I’m preaching 1 Kings 3, “Wisdom for Life in Leadership.”

Make sure to cover the processing fees! Thank you for your support of CDM!
Will you join me in giving $70 to the PCA's Committee on Discipleship Ministries (CDM) today? Link in 🧵👇

I was thrilled to see that the PCA Bookstore has removed all inventory by a particular author who was removed from ministry earlier this week. I have been reliably informed represents a cost to CDM (which manages the bookstore) of about $70, and I have personally committed to making a gift in that amount to cover the cost. Please consider matching my gift, and let's show CDM our appreciation.

I would bet you don’t have this title from @LigonDuncan. I just picked it up at the 2026 @gospelrefnet National Conference on endurance in ministry. He was kind enough to sign it for me. Thanks, Lig! By God’s grace, I won’t leave the church.

History nerd’s delight, PCA Presby edition:

Overture 76 is Calvary Presbytery’s proposed “Declaration of Thanksgiving” to commemorate the founding of the United States of America (est. 1776), which mirrors Philadelphia Presbytery’s more expansive version, with an additional ighting contributions of Presbyterian and Reformed (Huguenot) patriots in South Carolina, **where the American Revolution was won, y’all**.

I want to see the Philly and Palmetto versions combined into. Together, we stand. Divided, we fall. As Benjamin Franklin once said, “We must, indeed, all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately.” As another Philadelphian luminary once said, “We’re talkin’ about practice.”

Today is Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day.

After centuries of intermittent persecution under the Ottomans, the Christian Armenian people were subjected to genocide ordered by the Young Turks. Well over 1M Armenian men, women, boys, and girls were ruthlessly killed during the -grandfather Elias Kazanjian and his brother were able to escape to Jordan, but the rest of their family perished in the flames. We cherish their memory, continue to mourn the senseless killing of innocents of every background, and join our voices with those of the righteous martyrs assembled around heaven’s High Throne, who cry out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb” (Rev. 7:10).

If you're teaching a class, I would recommend that you use the Revelation volume in the Reformed Expository Commentary series (by Richard Phillips - @RDP4Christ), and then put the Bible study volume into the hands of your class participants as they read through the biblical text.

We divided the book (really, apocalyptic epistle for encouragement) of Revelation into 13 lessons that can run neatly into a quarter-long weekly class or small group. For individual study, it's intended as a companion to the biblical text.

Need a summer study for your Church?

Dear man of God, are you thinking about sabbaticals? Read this little book.

It’s so mercifully short that you won’t even need a sabbatical to read it!

But even if you have a sabbatical, this makes for very refreshing reading.

Ten years ago, I took my absolute favorite class at Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary with Dr. Nick Willborn, and I am still sitting at his feet to learn from him.

I can’t believe it’s been ten years.

I’m so grateful to be learning still.
