Apixaban for post operative VTE prophylaxis after gyn cancer surgery is vastly preferred by patients compared to LMWH and is associated with improved confidence of administration, less pain and bruising, and is less financially toxic.

Congratulations to the good people of Britain today welcoming a new government @JonathanPieNews shares the feeling best
Recovery will take time after 14 years of corruption, incompetence, under investment in public services. Politicians must serve the public not themselves.
A new day in Westminster has dawned...

Strongly agree
‘Only patients can say if treatment is tolerable’
We also need to stop dismissing low grade (1/2) toxicity especially in maintenance treatment setting
Better measurements are needed
Just thinking...I strongly advocate changing the dose selection process to a minimal effective dose (balance efficacy with QOL), but I also think WE NEED A SHIFT IN the AE GRADING SYSTEM to include impact, not just safety.

PRO's are invaluable for understanding the patient experience, but they're limited, and truth is, the AE grading system is still the go-to metric for tolerability. However...
💥 The grading system captures safety, NOT tolerability 💥 It lacks context & fails to capture IMPACT

This is a significant problem & it's misleading; therefore, dosing is too ⬆️, which results in unnecessary suffering while also ignoring the experiences of those who endure these treatments. Plus...
💥 Only patients can determine if treatment is tolerable!
