Real artists ship. Extremely proud of the Lambda team for our absolute focus on delighting customers.

If you ask frontier lab and hyperscaler insiders, Lambda is absolutely beloved because of our track record of reliable and on-time delivery.
Others announce. We deliver.
Proud to be recognized by enterprises, hyperscalers & frontier labs.

I love the Thiel Fellowship man. Someone is out here co-founding Anthropic, someone made Ethereum, and I just messaged someone who cryo preserves pets who can hopefully preserve my dog lol. And I'm gene editing human embryos. We are such an eclectic group

Anyone can sign a contract. Few can hand over a production cluster. THIS is how we separate from the rest. Lambda, The Superintelligence Cloud, delivers!

Small grants and encouragements of ambition ("you could go bigger") are still extremely underrated
Phoebe Yao got $1K from us, $8K from Tyler Cowen, $100K from the Thiel Fellowship, and raised $4.5M in 2022.

When asked which was most meaningful, she pointed to the first $1K. It changed what she thought she was capable of.

We still give out those grants.

Last year I was a recipient of a grant from @1517fund

I was building @getunuvo at the time and unsure of what life would look like after graduation

Even though to many $1k may seem small, to me it meant so much

And while I ended up shutting down Unuvo and joining @tryramp,

those months grinding taught me more than any internship or class ever could, helped me land my current role and inspired me to keep building

All of that that would not have been possible without @1517fund and @DStrachman

it only takes one person believing in you to change everything

Want to learn more about @MarathonFusion?

I'm hosting an experience at their SF HQ next week. Come meet the team, see their plasma reactor, and learn about work they're doing to build the future!

Limited space, RSVP on the event page below!
Last month, we demonstrated high-rate alchemy: turning mercury into real, stable gold, beating CERN’s record by a factor of 10.

Last week, we enriched isotopes in the world’s most powerful plasma centrifuge, beating the Soviet record that stood for 40 years.

Now, we’re building Francisco to achieve record power density.

All looking to buy homes in SF and the government still bans new housing
Anthropic will make ~1,000 employees worth +$100m at $2 trillion market cap.

There's ~11,000 Americans with $100m in investable assets.

So something like 1 in 12 Americans with $100m (liquid) will be from Anthropic. If you add in Openai, maybe 1 in 7.

I had the most insane idea a few years ago. We can genetically design animals but could I create a company to genetically design animals at scale to were it could be a viable business?

This weekend we sold implanted horse embryos at public auction for $26K and $20.5K.

Danielle, Michael, and Jonathan were the best colleagues and friends anyone could want. We had audacious candidates to choose from, and generous, talented volunteer mentors who helped guide the fellows as they became founders.

@William_Blake @jonathanhcain
The founding team of the Thiel Fellowship hosted a documentary crew for the first and second years of the fellowship, but very few people paid attention to our work then. See the comments for some early videos of teens who would go on to become tech titans. You'll catch a glimpse of what we saw and believed in before anyone else.

1517 has been picking top founders for decades before anyone else would even think these people were investable. It started with the Thiel Fellowship and continues today with companies like Rainmaker

Danielle and Michael are the best early stage investors in the industry

From 2011 - 2014, the Thiel Fellowship gave out 40 $100k fellowships to entrepreneurs

That were all under 20 years old at the time...

13 unicorns have since been built by those 40 fellows

4 of those 40 fellows are also now billionaires

Absolutely insane hit rate

Exceptional talent is widely distributed. Permission to use it is not.

We started the Thiel Fellowship to find extraordinary young people and give them the freedom to pursue ambitious ideas.

Fifteen years later, see what they’ve built.

Monthly landings are how we build a Moon Base – and beat China to it – but only if the hardware survives the two-week lunar night and accumulates into permanent infrastructure.

Scaling radioisotope power makes that possible!
Under @POTUS’ national space policy, the first mission to begin building the Moon Base launches this December, with robotic landers and rovers to follow at a near-monthly cadence in 2027.

After many false starts and delays, my book The Independent Scholar has now been typeset and is being emailed to all who preordered.

Just about everyone today assumes that to produce a lasting body of work, one must pass through a "credible" institution and secure a certain kind er, or grant.

But the historical record shows otherwise.

Twas much harder than I anticipated, and I'm all too aware of its remaining imperfections, but overall I'm pleased with the result.

Claude has models named Haiku, Sonnet, and Opus.

But does poetry actually have anything to teach people building technology?

We asked a 2E camper. Her answer went from creativity to understanding other people, which might be the harder engineering problem.
