"Watcher.... Why POTATO?
Potato's are not fearsome
Why not stretch the acronym some other way?"
Because the potato is perfect, friend... It's humble, it's enduring. It's beloved by both our cultures. It's Cute, it's friendly, and it's a MIGHTY sustaining power to us all...
Plus, it's a bit like the "root beer" doctrine... lol
It presents EXACTLY the correct idea of what our relationship should be like. Both a luxury to be enjoyed in times of feast, and a staple which can see us through famine.
With care and preparation, a delicacy even for the very rich, yet something not uncommon on the most humble of tables
The POTATO Unites us
The POTATO Sustains us
if you feel the call of POTATO, join us in perfecting the patch design
Once we have a few good examples, we will vote
Then I will make them available for sale to both Japan and America (for now... more Pacific nations to follow)
And then we can begin setting up "POTATO patches" where you can have club meetings and wear you patches, and we can appreciate each others cultures together as a group, yet an ocean apart
Maybe we can start setting up SPUD (Sprouting Pacific Unity Day) Meetups to encourage cross pacific tourism where different Patches meet up to talk in Japan or America!

OOOOOK....
So...
I'm not as well stocked up as I could be
but I'm sure as hell better stocked than most, and I've got everything to see my family (and farm animals) comfortably into the new year, come what may
I pray the same is true of you and yours, or that all this is vanity and unnecessary... But I don't think it will be

How do I get on board with the reindustrialization of America?
how do I help?... How do I participate?...
What if I said I had access to several fairly cheap... fairly modular shop spaces in a lowish cost area to live and would give support to founders who wanted to take advantage of that on the ground... up to and including letting them live in a newish RV on the farm (which is close by) until they get settled... would that help?

We are Rural, but not TOO bad... closest ACTUAL international airport is about 2 hours away
the site has good access to rail if needed
I manage the place... the owner just wants to start turning a profit and is open to almost anything
One of my best friends is a VERY good electrician and can do basically any of the work you need...
It's a very conservative area...
IDK what else
If this sounds like this would help your startup, HMU... I'll try and figure out the best way to vet you and we can see if we can give you a leg up to get started

TO CLARIFY.... because this is starting to attract people...
this isn't really for people who just want to "do something"
this is for people who have a business they are likely already building out, but work space/living costs are a limitation
If you don't have a business and are just looking for a change, IDK, maybe stick around the thread. Maybe some founder also needs somebody to work for them

Watching people defend ending their bloodline because of where America is, is wild.
There is zero daylight between you and leftist on that issue.

Somebody was asking me about my comments about moving back to windows after finding out the open source community were even less compitent and somehow even more authoritarian assholes than Microsoft
I was going to write about it, but this sums it up nicely

Open-source "codes of conduct" are cancer and need to be retired; I deeply regret championing them. The inevitable outcome is an unproductive mob controlling projects through intimidation. Given enough time, it pushes away people who would contribute patches. Eventually, all that remains is an unproductive military-police class playing social status games.

You cannot save America without removing judges. Bukele didn’t save El Salvador by building a prison. He saved it by removing the judges.
The judges are the shield of the revolution.

.... I'm trying to understand what I'm seeing here...
Is he self destructing his op on purpose?
Is he just getting frantic orders from on high and trying to comply?
Has he simply lost grip of his mental faculties?
Maybe some new meds are effecting his judgment?

The TOTAL DEMOLITION of the IPCC
Our latest peer-reviewed paper concludes that fossil carbon is a NEGLIGIBLE component of the net atmospheric CO₂ increase.
500 years of isotopic evidence.
Elementary mass conservation.
A devastating mathematical result.

BOMBSHELL
Fossil Fuels Did NOT Cause the CO2 Rise.
New peer-reviewed paper just dropped. 500 years of data. The verdict is in.
Fossil carbon's contribution to rising CO2:
effectively ZERO.
The entire IPCC/NASA/NOAA/EPA climate narrative rests on a claim that just got d.
Read it.
Share it.
The cover-up is over.

People crying over this are idiots. Clearly the RAM in a data center running full tilt 24/7/365 serving millions of people is better allocated than the RAM in your machine powering your Reddit browsing.Community noteSam Altman was specifically discussing local AI inference on personal computers versus cloud needs, not general use like web browsing. Cloud servers average ~13-22% memory utilization per analyses of major providers, not full tilt 24/7.
