Excited to announce the Cosign Awards: celebrating exceptional people, companies, and products that had a massive impact in 2026.

cosign.co/awards

Anyone can nominate and vote. Award winners will be chosen by the public in conjunction with a panel of judges, including lennysan, @packyM, @amasad, and many more. We’ll host an event in December honoring the winners (10 per category).

For people categories, we’re mostly focused on everyone except the CEO–everyone else building the company behind the scenes.

Companies with the most amount of people nominations will be listed on our “Top Companies to Work For” page.

True to form, at Product Hunt I helped launch the Golden Kitty awards a decade ago to recognize great products. Soon after I launched the Rise Awards, honoring executives and ICs building companies that make them. The Cosign Awards is the next iteration.

it is literally opposite at exa

leave private jets, both the exa’s cofounders don’t even fly business class on work trips! only premium economy

mad respect
🚨 BREAKING : Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan caught using COMPANY MONEY for Private Jets flights.

Peter Thiel caught him red-handed using his investment money as a personal wallet.

Founders Fund, Peter Thiel's fund, discovered that Shayne had charged the following as company et flights
- apartment rent
- designer clothes

They immediately demanded a FULL REFUND

Shayne was forced to reimburse the money.

ICE and Founders Fund then teamed up to push for stronger financial controls

They were the one that forced Shayne to appoint a COO.

You remember Shayne's ChatGPT written tweet gleefully announcing the hiring of Collin McKinney Hill as COO ?

I called it extremely suspicious at the time. Turns out i was right, investors basically forced Shayne to hire him as a soft coup.

I don't know how long Shayne can stay in place when their main investors have lost confidence.

non biased evals say exa is the best!
Exa has released Exa 3.0, scoring 80 on the Artificial Analysis Search Index in Dynamic Highlights mode, tying with Perplexity Search for the #1 spot

@ExaAILabs has released a new Dynamic Highlights mode to its Search API. Given a search query and its results, Dynamic Highlights t to return from each page within a shared budget

We benchmarked two Exa search types with Dynamic Highlights ahead of release: an upgraded auto mode, which balances search quality and speed, and a new lite mode, optimized for lower cost and latency. Both were evaluated using our Stirrup agent harness and GPT-5.6 Luna (medium) as the agent model

Key benchmarking results for Exa Search with Dynamic Highlights:

➤ Ties for #1 on the Artificial Analysis Search Index: Exa Search (auto, Dynamic Highlights) scores 80, level with Perplexity Search (medium) in the #1 spot, while Exa Search (lite, Dynamic Highlights) scores 79. On DeepSearchQA, auto (85.6 F1) and lite (84.9 F1) rank 1st and 2nd respectively, 4 to 5 points ahead of Perplexity Search (medium, 80.8)

➤ Reduces search calls and token usage: Exa Search (auto, Dynamic Highlights) uses 7.6 searches per task, the fewest of any Search API on the leaderboard, down from 9.4 with standard highlights. Tokens per task fall 47%, from 299k to 157k

➤ Reduces cost per task by 21%: Exa Search (auto, Dynamic Highlights) costs $0.066 per task, compared to $0.083 with standard highlights. Lite costs $0.044 per task, with both sitting on the cost vs. capability Pareto frontier. Exa Search is priced at $7 per 1k searches for auto and $4 per 1k searches for lite

There are people out there that think the Exa valuation is high, meanwhile there are people in SF literally begging to get in at premium prices through crazy gray market shenanigans

PG talks about exa!!!
10x a year for 3 years? I've seen a lot of growth, and that is truly exceptional. It's not unusual for startups to grow 10x in a year, but to keep it up for 3 years is close to unheard of. That's 1000x.

i joined exa at 0 million

today we crossed 100 million

next stop is 1 billion
Exa just passed $100m in annualized revenue.

We've grown almost exactly 10x per year for 3 years. We now handle 2 billion requests a month from 200k+ teams. And it’s still so early:

We predict agents will search 1000x more than humans by 2030.

Agents don't search like humans. x queries and want all the world's data, not just the web. We've spent 5 years building a search engine designed for them.

We now serve personal agents, AI labs, coding agents, GTM agents, really any agent. Exa gives these agents access to 100s of billions of web documents and tons of proprietary data.

Our customers are increasingly noticing that information is the bottleneck to agent performance. While the world seems close to perfect intelligence with models like Fable and Astra, we are very far from perfect information.

To our small but legendary team, thank you for getting us here, from engineering to research to GTM to ops.

To our customers, it is an honor to serve you. We have some exciting releases coming soon and can't wait to share them 🫡

i still remember when literally everyone on twitter was shitting on cognition for the launch demo being fake

but they proved that you can just ignore everyone, execute, and win so big that everyone shuts up
Cognition went from $1M to $1B ARR in 24 months.

The launch demo got debunked.
They had no customers.
They cut the price from $500 to $20.

Then they figured out what actually worked, bought a company 5x their size in 72 hours, and got their own AI agent writing 90% of their code.

The full breakdown of how they built the enterprise machine, closed Goldman and the US Navy, and ran three funding rounds in 12 months:

venturestreet.substack.com/p/the-cognitio…

This one is worth the read.

The fastest way to achieve career growth is to join a company that's growing so quickly that promoting you into an impossible scope is a better option than hiring from the outside. Then, all you have to do is the impossible.

i bet we see the next trillion dollar company in this new space of “general agents”

i see new launches almost everyday, instinct, muse, wabi, and now lucas

this is the next big thing!
We built an AI that saves your ass.

Meet Lucas. It’s been meaning to text you.

It lives in your texts, learns your life, and prompts itself.

It books, pays, orders and checks you in. Usually before you’ve thought of it.

Overnight, it goes exploring for things your life could on iMessage and WhatsApp
