So one of the lead NGOs organizing the riots got $34 million in government grants from the state of California, just last year alone.
If you are a Californian, the current LA riots are an example of your tax dollars hard at work.

The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Right—CHIRLA—is one of the key players in fomenting the violent response to immigration enforcement actions. It’s an LA-based nonprofit with a al positions on immigration; for example, it led a 2018 campaign to abolish ICE. It currently leads the Los Angeles Rapid Response Network, which gathers intel about enforcement actions and deploys activists to respond.

CHIRLA has strong ties to the Democrat Party in California and has supported the election of Democratic candidates through its lobbying arm. It has a particularly close relationship with Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass. The organization also has a close relationship with organized labor in the state, which in turn is a major financial supporter of Democrat politicians. On Friday, amid rising tensions, CHIRLA held a rally protesting ICE’s enforcement actions and the arrest of SEIU President David Huerta for obstruction.

The incredible part is that CHIRLA’s activities are primarily funded by California taxpayers. I obtained a financial audit that shows that for the fiscal year ending June 2023, it received $34 million from the state, mostly through the Department of Social Services, accounting for 72% of its total revenue. This was nearly a three-fold increase over the previous year.

CHIRLA also received a $450,000 federal contract in 2023, which Mayor Bass publicly took credit for helping secure. DHS froze funding in February, which prompted a lawsuit from CHIRLA. DHA then canceled the contract, and the lawsuit was then dismissed.

Eisenhower warned of the military-industrial complex—now we face a nonprofit-industrial complex.

@catturd2s Article 5 Delusion: A Fool’s Gambit

Zelensky is standing on a crumbling stage, screaming into the storm, demanding NATO ride in like the horsemen of apocalypse the moment a Russian shell lands near a Western uniform. But that’s not how Article 5 works, and either he knows it and hopes no one notices, or he’s too drunk on his own war propaganda to care.

Article 5 is not a free-for-all war trigger. It states that an armed attack on one NATO member, on its own territory, is considered an attack on all—meaning if Russia marched into Poland or bombed Berlin, the full force of NATO could be unleashed. But here’s the key: Ukraine is not NATO. It never was, and no amount of foot-stomping or emotional blackmail will change that.

If a NATO country—say Poland or the UK—chooses to send its troops into Ukraine and Russia attacks them, that is not an attack on NATO soil. That is a consequence of their own decision to enter a war zone. The alliance isn’t bound by treaty to respond. There’s no automatic war machine waiting to pounce. Each NATO country still retains the right to decide whether to engage, and that decision is made by individual governments, not some mystical clause Zelensky keeps waving around like a golden ticket to global war.

He’s playing a dangerous game, hoping to bait NATO into a direct fight with Russia. But the problem is, the West isn’t fully suicidal yet. The leaders in Brussels might be corrupt, weak, and morally bankrupt, but they’re not so far gone as to blindly follow Zelensky’s script. Article 5 won’t save him, and the longer he pretends otherwise, the more foolish he looks.

NGOs: ARE THEY JUST MONEY-MAKING SCAMS?

From Delhi to Brussels to California, courts and governments are cracking down on NGOs — but not for the reasons you’d hope.

Corruption, fraud, and misuse of funds have turned too many so-called charities into personal piggy banks.
ently labeled 99% of NGOs as “fraud” and “money-making devices.”

In Europe, the Qatargate scandal exposed NGOs at the center of international bribery.

Even in the U.S., nonprofits have been caught inflating impact reports to rake in donations.

Now, USAID has been terminated for mismanaging billions in taxpayer funds, putting an end to the era of many corrupt nonprofit organizations.

Ben's wrong, bless his heart @benshapiro . You cannot help but come to believe what you write and say. And if you practice lying, you become a liar. There is no "coming back to who you were later."
@jordanbpeterson Interesting. Ben Shapiro and you preach exactly different here. Ben's argument is to do whatever you have to do to get the grade: write whatever, say whatever. Then 20 years down the line, come back to the uni. and donate a ton of money, become influential enough to rid it of bad
