Fell in love this morning - twice! Local mom & pop car dealership around the corner from me had fully restored VW buses for sale, $39.9K (1972 olive/tan) and $24.5K (1979 white/tan). If I had that kind of cash to drop right now, one (or both) would be in my driveway today.

I had a ~12” gopher tortoise come visit my house last night. It hung out for about 14 hours and has moved on (hopefully to the conservation area out back and not into the neighborhood). They’re protected here in FL so I reported seeing it to FWC and admired from a distance.

If you want to see the Apollo 14 capsule in person, make a visit to the KSC Visitor Complex and take the bus tour over to the Saturn V center. You won’t be disappointed! (I took these pictures last month after spending the night underneath the Saturn V)
Apollo 14 splashed down in the Pacific Ocean #OTD in 1971 after a successful 9-day mission! It was the last of the Apollo missions to quarantine the astronauts upon their return. More on the completion of the mission: go.nasa.gov/3XayznR

Slept on a blanket in a field, woke up to a nice sunrise and some dolphins playing in the water, but no rocket launch today. Oh well, that’s the business. (And the dot in the picture is Artemis I on the pad. Would have been awesome to see it go. Maybe next time!)

I usually respond with a Rickroll…
So I've begun responding to these random SMSs that everyone thinks are just being used to probe for active numbers / phishing / scams.

They're either being orchestrated by a somewhat good AI or extremely dumb person.

Either way, I try to have fun with them.

My “smart” washing machine lost WiFi connectivity and the only way to fix it was delete and re-add the machine from the accompanying phone app, which also deleted all cycle and usage history even though it’s the same machine associated with the same account. That’s…not so smart.
