With Matiks, we're bringing the thrill of mental competition to everyone's phone. Math, memory, logic and puzzles, played against real people. A reason to open your phone and play, compete and scroll.
In September, 2.2M people played 48M games on Matiks.
Today, we're sharing that we've raised $10M, led by @generalcatalyst, with participation from @RonnieScrewvala and existing investors.
We're building towards a world where mind sports are as mainstream as physical sports and esports.
Maybe one day, solving puzzles will be as cool as playing cricket.

Fighting against all odds, the pre-release apprehensions turned into a movement like never before over the spells nothing but the power of good content. Somehow, I knew this one would be special one the minute I stepped out of the cinema-hall on December 5, but the course taken by the film is unprecedented.

For the first few years of my career, I took whatever came my way. In 1983, I became the first person in my family to own a car. I thought I had finally arrived.
A few years later, I saw it differently. The industry was not growing. My then supervisor agreed and advised: “I would move on if I were you.”
That was the first time I went back to the drawing board and asked myself what I really wanted to do in life.
The answer was IT, which in 1986 was a new industry. I could see it was going to change how businesses worked, and I wanted to be part of building that, not watching it from outside.
One of the three companies I tried made me an offer for two roles. One was area manager in Lucknow. The other was in Delhi, handling strategic accounts, with a difficult boss and a record of people before me who had not succeeded. Guess what? - I chose Delhi.
The choice was easy because, for the first time, I knew what I was driving towards. Purpose works like a filter. Without one, you take what comes. With one, you choose what moves you forward, even when it is the harder road.
It has stayed true at every stage. When I started Aionos, there was an unfinished desire behind it: to build an institution that remains relevant for the future. That was my driver.
Purpose is not a grand statement. It is the answer to one simple question: what am I driving towards? Ask it early, and ask it again whenever things change. Targets, roles and tools will keep changing. Your answer is what tells you which way to go.

@origin_autonomy just emerged from stealth with $20M to automate the work that happens inside buildings, and it’s already running at three times human speed.
Co-led by @Accel and @ZacuaVentures, with angels from Anduril, Skild AI, 1X and Tesla.
The OG-1 robot ng autonomously, applying compound, sanding, priming, corners, pillars, soffits, at heights up to 14 feet, using force control for contact-heavy tasks.
Construction automation has historically focused on heavy exterior work. Origin is going inside. Interior trades account for more than 65% of project timelines, and almost all of it is still done by hand.
→ First robots deployed on New York job sites within 10 months of founding
→ Running across commercial buildings, multifamily housing, data centres, hotels and warehouses
→ Target: 150 deployed robots by end of 2027
→ Pilots planned in the US, Germany, Sweden, France and Saudi Arabia
The AI stack powering it is called the Construction Action Model, a foundation model combining task reasoning, autonomous action policy and continuous feedback control. Trained in simulation, refined on live job sites.
42% of US construction firms had projects delayed in 2026 due to worker shortages. That number is only going one direction.
Wall finishing is just the starting point. Taping, drywall installation, drilling, conduit installation, all coming.
Construction robots are no longer just for the outside of buildings.

@satyanadella extremely well put. I have been saying this, not as elegantly - we cannot rely on the disclosures of frontier LLMs alone:
1. These harnesses need to be constructed so that third parties can get involved in observability and transparency..
2. As we get there we also can imagine users (enterprises) wanting to adapt the guardrails to their values, principles and business practices. One cannot imagine a global set of guardrails owned by the model creators.
3. No real business will be able to implement the enhanced capabilites of models if they remain black boxes, auditability, verification and compliance are essential premises to ensure that businesses can continue to operate showing duty of care.
4. Information securty architectures are consistent over decades, the AI architectures need to make room for us to be able to interface seamlessly, at speed and consistently - today all attempts by us are jerry rigged and band aids because we are trying to adapt to the speed of the model providers. If the AI industry doesn't support the simultaneous capability of the security industry things will stall.
5. To foster the diffusion of AI at speed and build trust we need to have momentum behind the conversation just initiated by Satya.

Everyone in China says ‘ecosystem, ecosystem, ecosystem.’ Foundery is a small attempt at trying to build that for consumer brands in India. It’s not about how many of the 20 brands per batch succeed or what valuations they achieve, but about the fact that, in 10 years, we would d the ‘ecosystem’ by attempting to create 200 Indian brands with the potential to sell globally..

Since 2022, I've been building in functional F&B. Since April of this year, I've been deep in hydration, building New Religion out of @jointhefoundery, alongside @nikhilkamathcio , Kishore Biyani and @RonnieScrewvala
There's one pattthing I've built: I tend to question the default
I questioned the default protein source while building Progo, exploring plants, yeast and precision-fermented whey.
I questioned why the functional beverage shelf largely revolved around energy, and built POISED around focus and calm.
Even in college, while stuck at home during Covid, I looked at scrap metal from my family's automobile foundry and turned it into a cast-iron cookware business. We launched, generated revenue, and before I went back to the US to graduate, I sold the moulds to a customer who wanted to continue making the products.
Now, I'm questioning the default of hydration.
We have our stack of supplements, diets, wearables, scores and protocols for almost every part of health.
Yet hydration, the foundation, is the one we think about least and is often treated either as plain water or as something relevant mainly to sport and performance.
The question I'm now building around is simple: 'How do we hydrate better, daily?'
That question became New Religion.
You'll understand the name soon.
I'll be sharing more of what I'm learning while building in consumer: hydration, functional beverages, product, brand, manufacturing, and life inside The Foundery.
