Sat next to Katie for 2 years in the Senate @Reporter_Mia. Beyond raw talent on the Hill and Admin, she forages mushrooms and can turn her garden into a full-course dinner all while attending the many sporting endeavors of her two sons.
If Wiki had a 'Super Mom' page. Her name would be first.

NEW: Katie Bailey takes reins as Trump's top Hill liaison.

Congratulations Katie Bailey! Katie was my legislative director throughout my time in the Senate and later served as my federal liaison when I was elected Governor. She is a force to be reckoned with and will be a great asset to @POTUS Trump!

Katie did a fantastic job advocating for Indiana with then-Senator @braun4indiana and later @GovBraun, and excels at everything she does. Thrilled to see this for her, and excited to see the impact she has on all 50 states in this crucial role.
Congratulations, @BaileyCath73125!

Congratulations to the great Katie Bailey @BaileyCath73125. Katie’s a consummate pro, an extraordinary hill operator, and one of the best people in Washington. Katie is going to do great things, and I know that the Office of Legislative Affairs will deliver for the President atie worked for the great @MarkMeadows, @GovBraun, @jasoninthehouse, @SenRonJohnson and a number of other tremendous America First congressional fighters. She’s handled the nominations portfolio with an almost impossible grace, and previously served as the office’s Deputy Director for the United States Senate.

This email aged well:
JAMES BRAID is leaving the W.H. He was Trump's longest serving leg affairs director.
The W.H. has to move quickly. BRAID is out before the election. TRUMP needs an experienced hand who knows how to handle the Hill by the lame duck.
The q is does he look inside his admin or outside.
If Ds win the majority, he'll need someone who can work with Dems and handle the onslaught of investigations.
Email me if you have thoughts on who should get the gig.

Congratulations to Katie Bailey on her well-deserved appointment to lead the @WhiteHouse Office of Legislative Affairs!
Having known Katie for years, I’ve seen firsthand how her tireless dedication and steadfast leadership have been instrumental in securing key confirmations — including my confirmation as Secretary of Labor — and advancing @POTUS’ agenda.

Amazing tool to track the reindustrialization of America under @POTUS.
Today we released the Made in America Again Map, which tracks manufacturing projects and investments across all industries in America since @POTUS took office.
It’s a powerful visual breakdown of the Trump manufacturing comeback.

What a great time at All Fall Festival at The Berry Center in New Castle, KY.
Free copy of Wendell Berry’s 50th Anniversary printing of The Unsettling of America was a treat.
Also met fellow Hoosier, 89yo Dick Towner who also drove 2.5 hrs for the event.

If the families had anything in common, she said, it was that they were of little means.

Appreciate the fine editing by @MESabo86 on my book review.
As a fellow working class Midwesterner, @evanwch hits important issues with an easy-to-read prose that allowed me to finish this book in two sittings.
Will be on Robert’s 2026 Christmas reading list (top 10) later this fall via @Substack

Even Democratic insiders admit the party lost the plot on identity politics.
Claremont Lincoln Fellow @RobertOrdway reviews Evan Barker's new book, “Nothing Left,” tracing two decades of warnings that identity politics has pushed out the working-class coalition Democrats once relied on. hubs.li/Q04xVWVl0
