Very easy to uncover the grossly biased model’s assumptions:
1) Ignore the fact that the recommendation to postpone birth dose applied only to women who are tested negative (not ones not tested).
2) Assuming that the newly recommended policy by ACIP of shared decision making will lead to only 50 percent vaccination rate.
3) Assuming community infection prevalence and horizontal infection rates grossly unrealistic to the vast majority of US households/families.
What the study does not do is to validate the model against real data from the many developed countries that don’t have birth dose, including parts of Canada. Data-free models can give you any results you wish to have…
Equally importantly the model assumes no harm from giving a baby medical intervention on the first day of life…
