The most dangerous weapon used against Africa wasn't the gun.

It was the education system that taught us to hate our own history, worship their God, speak their language, and believe that their way is the only "civilized" way.

Decolonize your mind first. The rest will follow

Satellite imagery confirms a new military build-up at the ENDF base in Asosa 🇪🇹, where supplies and technicals are being amassed for onward delivery to Sudan’s RSF 🇸🇩.

The same site had remained largely empty until 5 Oct, but was full of supplies and vehicles on 20 Oct.
Satellite imagery from 7 Sep–25 Oct shows UAE govt-linked 🇦🇪 Il-76TD cargo aircraft at Asosa Airport in Ethiopia’s Benishangul region 🇪🇹, near Sudan 🇸🇩, at least five times. I assess with high confidence that the flights are part of the UAE military airlift supplying the RSF.

“Ethiopia must outgrow the 3,000-year civilization myth,” says Dr. Tsegaye Ararssa, Ethiopian international law scholar. Exactly! Ethiopians must outgrow this mythology like children outgrow Santa Claus stories. The Bible’s “Ethiopia” does not automatically mean today’s Ethiopian c narrative was used to legitimize imperial rule. Like its neighbors, modern Ethiopia’s borders took shape during the Scramble for Africa. It is time to abandon false historical grandeur, confront history honestly, and live in peace with Eritrea, Somalia, Sudan, Kenya and Djibouti. Peace begins when mythology gives way to history.

The PP 🇪🇹 thinks it can pull the wool over people’s eyes with skyscrapers financed by the UAE. But lies have short legs!
Reject the manufactured illusions of a "prosperity gospel" that has devolved into dangerous delusion. The reality remains unchanged: 🇪🇹 is still one of the poorest nations on earth. We must rid ourselves of this ethnic apartheid syndicate, it is a catastrophic curse on the matters ‼️

Unbelievable. For 3 years, all the senior officials in Ethiopia have been speaking provocatively about the Red Sea, violating the territorial integrity of their neighboring countries, and even cooperating with terrorist organizations when necessary. Yet they receive no harsh warning from either the US or the EU.

The hypocrisy is astounding! A man known as today “Mini-Abiy Ahmed" lecturing others on ethnic politics is pure comedy. This 👇🏾isn't just the pot calling the kettle black--it's a pot that spent a decade weaponizing ethno-rage suddenly masquerading as a diplomat 🤷🏾‍♂️
Dear Honorable @FarahMaalimM

I have been concerned by some of your recent media remarks regarding the Gari-Borana conflict in Moyale. I worry that the framing, however well-intentioned, could inadvertently heighten tensions rather than contribute to resolving them.

This is not omali conflict, but rather a recurring dispute between two clans with close kinship ties, a shared language, and a common territory. Such disputes have persisted intermittently for decades and are sometimes exacerbated by cross-border contraband traders and unscrupulous security operatives. I therefore believe it is important to approach the situation with caution and avoid framing a localized conflict in ways that could turn it into a broader ethnic or national confrontation.

Sadly, this is not the first time you have made inflammatory remarks of this nature. A few years ago, when tensions arose between Somalia and Ethiopia, you delivered an incendiary speech directed at the Oromo, which was followed by reports of harassment and assaults against Oromo refugees in towns across Somalia. Such incidents underscore the potential consequences of rhetoric that risks inflaming ethnic tensions.

Brother Farah, I know you personally, and our relationship goes beyond politics. We have shared both good and difficult times. I have had the pleasure of hosting you in my home in Addis Ababa, and you have graciously welcomed me into yours, where I enjoyed a wonderful meal with your family. You were also among the first people to reach out and offer help when I recently faced a dangerous situation. I recall these moments because I know you as a fundamentally good-hearted and caring person, and I write to you in that same spirit of friendship and mutual respect.

As an elder statesman, you are someone whom I and many other younger politicians have looked to for advice, wisdom, and guidance on important national and regional issues. Precisely because I hold you in such high regard, I hope you will understand my concern. Your words carry weight, and with that comes a responsibility to promote restraint, understanding, and peaceful coexistence, especially when tensions are high.

Brother, I say this with genuine respect and affection. Please continue to be the voice of wisdom and guidance that we have come to expect from you.

Best regards,

Your younger brother,
Jawar Mohammed

Prof. Peter Kagwanja Kenyan politician warned about five years ago that Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed would turn the Horn of Africa into the most unstable region on the continent.

Kenyan MP Farah Maalim has now strongly highlighted the same concern.

IMF has released the list of the top 15 world poorest countries and 14 of those are African nations. But are African countries really poor?

Burundi that tops the list is the biggest producer of rare earth. It also has gold and one of the best nations in Agriculture in East and Sudan, Somalia, Niger are some of the biggest oil producing countries in the continent with over 2 billion oil reserves each.

DRC and Ethiopia shouldn't even be appearing in anything closer to poverty. DRC generated over $2.8 billion in gold exports alone in 2025. Ethiopia's stats speak for themselves.

The big question should be, is Africa really poor or it has poor governance and service delivery by those at the top?

Such territorial rhetoric threatens regional peace, raises tensions with neighboring countries, and sends an alarming message ons in the Red Sea. Sovereignty and internationally recognized borders must be respected.

Galla expansionists think they can fight all of East Africa with their newly manufactured nationalism. Before TPLF left, they barely had this nationalist obsession; now they want to quarrel with Eritrea, Sudan, Djibouti and everyone else. Their nationalism looks more like a ke invoking Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities while knowing nothing about their distinct histories. All noise, no diplomacy, just endless expansionist fantasies.

What is happening in Saudi Arabia should serve as a warning to the UAE. It is just as vulnerable.

Worse: the UAE is a hostage trapped between two armed men—Israel and Iran. It cannot choose a side, and it cannot escape. Its leadership will not survive the choice.

Abiy Ahmed has this hostage. His hyperactive wars against the Ethiopian people, his activities in Sudan with RSF, his Somaliland gambit, his Red Sea fantasies and wars—all depend on a patron that is itself trapped. Hence temporary.

When the UAE falls or is forced to submit, Abiy falls with it. His lifespan as a leader is limited to the lifespan of a collapsing ally. Like Mengistu to the Soviet Union.

Ethiopians should understand: their future is being mortgaged to a state that cannot secure its own.

🇪🇹 Ethiopia will firmly safeguard its strategic interests in the Nile and the Red Sea, while seeking peaceful coexistence with the neighbors, Army Chief Field Marshal Birhanu Jula declared.

"The Nile waters are Ethiopia's natural blessing, while the Red Sea is a sea that God ns to use," he underlined, adding that both resources are sufficient to serve the wider region.
