Update from our Cybersecurity Teams:

The CBSE revaluation portal is currently supporting over 8,000 concurrent users. As of 3:00 PM today, more than 16,000 students have successfully completed their submissions.

While thousands of students accessed the CBSE re-evaluation portal today, malicious actors attempted to disrupt services through a barrage of cyberattacks.

Most recent being a denial of service attack attempt causing 1.5 million hits on the portal within a matter of 2 minutes and more than 1 lakh attempts of unauthorised file access.

Based on student feedback, we have further refined the platform, including extending session time limits to make the process more convenient and seamless.

Our teams remain vigilant and responsive to ensure our dearest students are facilitated in all ways possible.

Please note that Aadhaar Verification has been included for security reasons. For children who do not have Aadhaar, the parent's, relative's or guardian's Aadhaar details may be used.

In this case, the Aadhaar Name, Date of birth and Gender must be of the person whose Aadhaar number is used.

Dear students,
Verification and re-evaluation portal will go live soon. Official announcement will follow.

We have been closely monitoring the vulnerabilities in the OnMark portal of our service provider that are being flagged in the public domain. An expert team of cybersecurity professionals has been deployed over the last few days from across various arms of the government as well as the IITs to fortify these systems, including taking them over to a more secure set up. The identified vulnerabilities have been contained, and other exploitable weaknesses are being ruled out.
We are grateful to all alert citizens and ethical hackers pointing out such weaknesses, and have gotten in touch with some of them directly.

In order to ensure a transparent and glitch-free process for verification and re-evaluation of answer books of students who intend to submit their applications on the Post-Result Activities portal, it has been decided that the designated portal will now be operational from 1st June 2026. This is to ensure the highest standards and protocols of evaluation.

Hon’ble Union Minister of Education Shri Dharmendra Pradhan chaired a review meeting at CBSE Headquarters, Dwarka, New Delhi today. The meeting was attended by the Secretary, DoSEL, CBSE Chairperson, Directors of IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur, along with senior officers from MoE, n the meeting, the progress of the CBSE Class XII evaluation and post-result processes was discussed and reviewed. Deliberations focused on providing student friendly re- evaluation portal, strengthening CBSE’s digital platforms, enhancing student exam and result facilitation mechanisms, and improving evaluation and monitoring systems.

Stakeholders also highlighted measures undertaken for student support and outlined future plans for robust, transparent and technology-enabled service delivery aimed at greater student benefit.

Clarification Regarding Claim of Compromise of CBSE OSM Portal

In a post made by a user on social media, it has been claimed that the CBSE On Screen Marking (OSM) bearing URL: cbse.onmark.co.in was compromised by him on 26.02.2026. This has also formed the basis for a few news articles.

At the outset, it is clarified that the Portal used for evaluation of answer-books bore a different URL, which has neither been compromised nor does it have the vulnerabilities indicated in the said social media post. The URL: cbse.onmark.co.in is the testing site only with sample data for internal testing and review purposes. There are no actual evaluation data, marks or other data held on that portal. The Board emphasises that no security breaches have come to light on the Portal deployed for the actual evaluation work.

The Board would like to state that this system has been implemented for enhanced transparency in assessments with strong grievance redressal mechanisms built into it and would reassure all concerned about the strong safeguards implemented  to ensure integrity of the platform actually deployed as regards any vulnerabilities.

Students may submit their applications through the official portal.

CBSE remains committed to a fair and transparent evaluation process. All genuine concerns related to scanned answer books or evaluation will be reviewed by subject experts through the prescribed mechanism.

CBSE has extended the last date for obtaining scanned photocopies of Class XII answer books to 24.05.2026

Students will also get up to two days after receiving the scanned copy to apply for Verification/Re-evaluation.
