Meet the Map.

A top-down chart of Otherside covering all 100,000 Otherdeeds, opened from your Starpod.

Your first journey starts at the Nexus, with your StarHauler docked and ready. After that, it's wherever you left it.

You don't fly the Map by hand.

Pick a point, lay a course, and your StarHauler flies it.

Log off and it keeps flying, alone and at risk. Come back and it's still on course. If it arrives before you do, it'll be waiting there.

Your StarHauler is your cargo ship. It carries the resources you find across Otherside back to the Nexus.

Your Starpod is your shuttle. It can warp to the Nexus or back to your ship, and it's what takes you down to a deed.

For early access, we're starting with Yuga deeds in four environments: Botanical, Bone, Glacia and Crimson.

They're lit up on the Map, colored by environment, and available to land on. Keeping it to four lets us test deed PCG (procedural content generation.) More on that soon.

You are not alone out there.

Other Voyagers' haulers appear within sensor range. Some are on course, others parked while their pilots are away.

Find someone heading your way and fall in behind them. A true space trucker convoy.

Otherside is vast and dangerous.

Out on the open field, you'll encounter distress calls, weather, and other things you can't explain.

We're starting small and adding more encounters as early access goes on.

Once you set a course for a deed, we start bringing that world online while you're still en route.

Sometimes a world takes a little longer, but we do our best to have the surface ready before you arrive.

Then the Starpod takes you down.

When it's time to head back, you choose how you arrive at the Nexus.

Fly home with your hauler or warp ahead, with the hauler trailing. Or leave it out there, alone.

A hauler left moving on its own is exposed, and you may find it lighter than you left it.

What you haul home builds what you fly.

As early access evolves, upgrade your StarHauler's cargo bay, armor and secure storage. Tune your Starpod's thrusters, sensors and shields.

StarHauler gets you across Otherside. Starpod gets you down to the world.

Next time: touchdown.
