At Stablecoin Summit Singapore, Tianwei Liu (@Tian_wei) of StraitsX (@StraitsX) argued that in merchant payments, the currency of settlement matters. A merchant pricing in local currency needs FX finality in that currency, which is where he sees a role for local-currency D.
