2.4% ?! Mortgage rates and rents rising
Gas and electricity cap increasing
Food shops bills unmanageable
This offer will only deepen the crisis in the #NHS workforce
Abysmal

Would you accept being paid far less in real terms than you were 20 years ago?
Research reported by Metro found that doctors had the biggest fall in pay after accounting for rising prices, out of 158 occupations studied.
Now the Government is proposing a 2.4% pay uplift for hat would mean another cut once inflation is taken into account.
People across the country know how frustrating it is to work hard and find that your wages cover less each year. Doctors face those same rising bills.
We think this is wrong. Years of lost pay are being treated as something we should simply accept. A higher number on a payslip does not mean you are better off when prices have risen faster.
We are asking to recover the value our pay has lost. That is what pay restoration means.
Whatever you do for a living, fair pay is something we can all stand behind.

Imagine being a student paramedic who stepped up during Covid
Catching Covid
Becoming debilitated as a result
And then the NHS you sacrificed your health and future for denying you a Wheelchair

Hysteroscopists traditionally taught: 98% of OP hysteroscopies are successful & 'well tolerated'.
Only 8% of women in our 'dissatisfaction survey' were asked for a pain score.
Time for ALL patients to be asked their pain score. Thank you! @rebeccamallick @AliWrightObGyn

I think similar conversations will have taken place in Scotland prior to the review gathering pace
They were wrong, very wrong
Each application can only be judged on merit no matter what a Board/Trust says.
Job Evaluation has robust processes for this reason

How can band 5 nurse reviews be fair if outcomes are already decided?
One NHS board was advised most of its nurses on band 5 will probably stay there, even before the wholesale review of band 5 nursing has begun.

This post outraged me, because this is what the government have done to many of my colleagues all across the UK
Our PPE during the pandemic was not fit for purpose!
Government negligence killed and disabled many healthcare workers
Never forget #covid

Today is a sad 😢 day. I terminated my contract as I’m too sick to work
The government and #NHS did not protect me
10+ yrs dedicating myself to the NHS Mental Health Services and patients
As a result of working on the frontlines in 2022. I am now severely disabled by COVID

In todays @Independent
I think the question we should be asking is "How are we addressing the issue?"
What can we do to help staff working in extreme temperatures?

Its outrageous to expect people to work in these conditions
@ItJustMe1965 @NHSActivistRN @Independent My daughter (paediatric neurology nurse) spent half the night vomiting after two 13 hour shifts in the heat last night. The long shifts are not good for physical or mental health.

Our clinic heating system has been on through the summer - apparently if it's turned off it won't restart again!
