Worked with our amazing dev @ahrefabhi to create this fun little easter egg - after a while this little guy pops up and follows the cursor around (and hides when the user is typing in the password 💜)
Me: *makes a cute micro interaction, gets excited and shows it to others*
Other product designers: “what is the need of this? Is it solving any problem?”
Me: 🥺

Italian graphic design in the ’50s and ’60s was on another level. A selection of Olivetti advertisements.

Just two arts grads who randomly walked into a quiz on quantum physics happening at @SciGalleryBlr..
And managed to qualify for the finals?!?
We also won a prize for the best team name - the valence-ing act, hehe

New talk! About the divided human & agent worlds, boundary objects, and building thicker interfaces
I've been exploring how to improve "planning", aka. deciding what agents should build, how you want it built, & making the whole team part of that process

This is an interesting product design problem statement. Back in 2022-2023 at Gojek we had the opposite problem of merchants ad campaigns had low quality images and underperform. So smaller mom and pop restaurants were losing out to larger chains who could afford good visuals

Also I felt the deeper issue was lack of personalisation. high-quality merchant images was not enough.. I wanted to be tailored to user personas and to be dynamic and more in line with state-of-the-art advertising that Meta and Google could offer. Some mock-ups below:

I’d nudge in the opposite direction.
I encourage designers not to optimise for token-maxing, but for life-maxing, because that’s where real ideas usually come from. I’ve spent the last few months in token-maxx mode and it left my brain feeling oddly stale.
If your whole day is just “how do I squeeze a bit more juice out of AI”, you eventually stop thinking about anything else and the work starts to reflect that.

I encourage designers to get used to running design tasks overnight. Don't let your compute sit idle. Let AI render 50 versions of glass reflections in Blender or run pipelines that create 100s concepts in Figma while you sleep. In the morning, review the results and fine-tune what works best.

Zero Indian VCs mentioned in this article btw
Somehow, @srajagopalan and @lachygroom have managed to fund a hard-tech revolution in India.
There's something rather massive going on, and everyone else has missed it.

Compounding works the same in investing and in design. Small, boring improvements every day look like nothing for a year. Then suddenly they're the whole thing.

This is spectacular work ✨
Hi, it's Darshita. I am a designer.
And I'm pitching myself in public 'cause I'm done with a year full of anxiety.
Everyone says design is dead and AI killed it. But the real parasite was hiding in plain sight.
So here's my film, DESIGN IS DEAD. She's bold, fearless and very are open.

Thanks for the overwhelming response and love from the community ♥️ a feature request from a lot of folks was to be able share the result with friends like wordle etc. I’ve shipped that! Worked with Opus 5.5 to brainstorm and tell a cute story with a little ant mascot 🐜
Since it’s Navratri I’ve become interested in Kolam patterns and how they’ve been constructed. So I put together a Tetris style Kolam builder mini game made with p5.js and @GeminiApp Argon ᯽ ᯽
