Brewing up baby stars ⭐

@NASAWebb used infrared light to peer through the dust in this nebula, revealing many stars of different ages. This helps us study how stars change over time.

@NASA @NASAWebb This palette! 🖤
Webb's NGC 7129 colors tell two stages of star formation. Hot atomic hydrogen in gold, cooler molecular hydrogen shocked by young stars in red.

That palette, rearranged into discs and a hundred-square color study.

@NASA @NASAWebb Baby stars still forming in all that dust. The heavens are still declaring the glory of God, Psalm 19 called it.

@NASA @NASAWebb How do astronomers tell star ages apart in a single image like this? Is it mostly color and brightness, or does it take follow-up spectra to be sure?

@NASA @NASAWebb Webb peering through the dust to reveal stars of different ages is wild. How many of those baby stars end up like our Sun?

So many solar systems out here,
Some are ancient

Some are just being born

Some are just getting started like us..

@NASA @NASAWebb Fascinating! A significant question is what drives all this across the universe… I am sharing a recent theory, beyond Relativity.

@NASA @NASAWebb Webb looking through dust to catch stars of different ages in one nebula is a great use of infrared. Every new image shows more detail than we expected. Amazing to be alive for this.
