#Debate Roger Marshall vs Roger Marshall
One lies to Kansas about Tariffs, Fuel, War, Inflation, Corruption, and Affordability.
The other Roger takes $13,000 in campaign checks from Qatar lobbyists. And defends a historically linked major financier of Radical Islamic Terror. king points on the Senate Floor and flying to Qatar to hear their concerns while calling Kansans “too dangerous” to meet with.
Who won? KS GOP says Roger Marshall.

@ModerateKS Try educating yourself on tariffs. Stop choosing to be ignorant. x.com/dustinh1130/st…
Tariffs, explained. Three things every Kansan should know.
1) PRICES: A STEP, NOT A SPIRAL (like it is today)
A tariff raises the price of the imported good it hits. Once. After that it's built into the price. The same tariff doesn't keep pushing prices higher year after year on does.
That was the Fed's own base case. Then-Fed Chair Powell, Oct. 29, 2025: "A reasonable base case is that the effects on inflation will be relatively short lived—a one-time shift in the price level."
Core inflation, which strips out food and energy, was 2.6% over the past year (BLS, Sept. 2026).
2) JOBS: BUILD IT HERE
Tariffs make building here pay better than shipping it in. Companies are responding:
• GM is moving its China-built Buick compact SUV to Fairfax Assembly in Kansas City, Kan., starting in 2028. WardsAuto reports the move is meant in part to offset tariffs on the imported model.
• Swiss company Ecorobotix opened a $50 million sprayer factory in Lyons, Kan., and said U.S. tariffs were one factor.
• Century Aluminum credits the Section 232 aluminum tariff, which February's Supreme Court ruling left in place, for its push to build the first new U.S. aluminum smelter in nearly 50 years in Inola, Okla. The plan: 1,000 permanent jobs.
Factory employment is up 72,000 since December 2025 (BLS).
3) TAXES: TRUMP'S GOAL
President Trump, April 27, 2025: "When Tariffs cut in, many people's Income Taxes will be substantially reduced, maybe even completely eliminated. Focus will be on people making less than $200,000 a year."
That's the direction: lean less on Kansans' paychecks and more on imports. Right now the paycheck tax is the giant: $2.846 trillion in individual income taxes in FY2026 (Treasury).
Roger Marshall backs the tariff agenda.
Vote Roger Marshall on Nov. 3.
