Just got my absentee ballot in Florida! Filling it out tomorrow with my coffee. Down the line Democrat for the appropriate offices. Voting for the to the right judges. Then as I see on the amendments.

Today I always like to talk about General Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben for the newcomers.
He was a Prussian Captain under Frederick the Great.
He came to Valley Forge on February 23, 1778 to help with the Revolutionary War.
George Washington or General, then confirmed by Congress in May 1778 and promoted to rank of Major General.
He wrote the Blue Book, the Army drill manual and Congress adopted it March 29th 1779.
He taught and adapted Prussian tactics to about 100 men from different regiments and sent them back as instructors.
He was given 16,000 New York acres in 1786, smaller grants from Pennsylvania and Virginia, citizenship that same year, and a yearly pension of $2,500 in 1790.
He died November 28th, 1794.
