100% of companies will need a shared context layer (company brain)

99% of companies don’t know this yet

1% can create edge from this right now

If it was seamless they would. Option 1 is choose the platform where the bulk of your data is and port the rest to it. Option 2 build your own platform and port everything to it. Option 3 don’t have a context brain. My bet is option 1 or something more similar then either of the others.

@zenfisherman0 I’ll take option 2a, companies will buy this as a solution that can easily ingest Salesforce along with the rest of their data

If Elon can really build 13gw next year, SPCX will become the world's largest company

Maybe he is off bigly with GWs but with Elon you get the business acumen, the financing locked, and very little dilution and/or extinction risk relative to the neoclouds
Over the last week I built a bottoms up SpaceX financial model through the end of 2028

The numbers that came out are insane

There are wide error bars given how quickly things are changing but I wanted to distill something complicated into something that can at least be debated
nt advice!!!

@pythianism Most cannot comprehend what 13gw means

It is roughly the combined average demand of New York City + Los Angeles + a couple of other major U.S. cities

That’s an insane amount

i’m not convinced that “context” is the real bottleneck here.

for lots of orgs, all the meetings are captured in granola. all async comms are in slack. all docs are in notion. I’ve even seen teams check their agent logs into shared repos.

all of these have ample MCPs and CLIs that all agents can access. the context is there, everything is legible, and yet—

the problem is that it is stored, retrieved, and acted on non-deterministically. it’s unstructured and out of date and there’s way too much of it. it’s an unreliable mess. the agents (and humans) can only do so much with that, and the result isn’t at all what people imagine when they design agentic systems, because nobody can trust it.
Databricks CEO Ali Ghodsi says if frontier models stopped advancing, it wouldn't matter for most orgs because enterprise AI is bottlenecked on context, not intelligence:

"There's no agentic work that's automated the whole enterprise. That has just not happened. Why is that? The ls are smart enough, but they just don't have the context that exists inside of any organization."

"They have not been in every meeting. They don't know what's in everybody's heads. They don't know all the processes. There's always a couple of employees who know everything in every organization. You go tap on their shoulder, and everybody's like, 'Oh my God, what would happen if he or she quits?'"

"If you just fused that and gave that context into the AI models, just the frontier today, I think there's so much productivity gains you could get for any organization on the planet."

"For that, we actually don't need smarter models... If the frontier doesn't advance, it doesn't actually matter for the vast majority of organizations on the planet. They're just so far behind in the adoption curve of actually automating things and getting value out of this stuff."

When you say “lots of orgs” I think you mean lots of startups or very tech-forward companies

Because I can assure you that most enterprises don’t have their contest all buttoned up and MCP-accessible, that’s the exception not the norm

So I do agree, context is the big problem at most enterprises

Almost 100% of companies need this now. I can't imagine how much they're falling behind in efficiency and productivity in an era when everything moves so fast.
Nevertheless, most are still using only Markdown files and trying to capture team context manually or semi-automatically.

@KSimback Calling it a company brain fits, and sharing it is the hard part. We built ours as a knowledge graph, an account linked to its contracts, tickets and owner, with every read filtered to what that person or agent can see. Agree most companies don't know it yet.

@KSimback Idk salesforces approach is the approach all providers will take really. They will keep your data like they currently do, allow a more open api to capture whatever else the company has, and allow for WYSIWYG type dashboard to be built and queried on by whatever ai is used.

multiple big tech companies have essentially one (very well paid) person who really knows how to use AI, and this “AI fixer” is their great hope — taking on projects and educating others.

problem is, some don’t have anyone, and a lot of those frontier people would rather work in a broadly AI-native company and find out what a team of people going this fast can do
This is INSANE. Cisco’s president Jeetu Patel has given a 27-year-old engineer unlimited AI tokens to try to rewrite 98% of the company’s legacy code within 24 months, Fortune reports.

Padmanabhan Krishnamurthy thinks he can do it with a two-person team. He has just four weeks to prove the approach.
