Ohio Democratic Senate nominee Sherrod Brown just pledged that he will not vote to confirm any Trump judicial nominees regardless of their qualifications. So not only would the Democrats pack the Court, but they will block any new judges to purge the courts through attrition.

...Brown told MS NOW that “we’re not, obviously, confirming judges that are Trump judges.” Unfortunately, it is common for senators of the opposing party to vote against a President's nominees. However, they at least preserve the pretense of "advice and consent"...

...So, regardless of the background and the accomplishments of a Republican nominee, Brown is pledging to vote against them. He does not have to consider who they are, just who sent them. It is a curious pitch for a job in saying that you have no intention of considering the President's nominees.

@JonathanTurley @gkn08215 Sherrod Brown’s been a parasite in Ohio for close to 50 years. He backed Biden 97% of the time, he’s in favor of mutilating children and open borders
In other words, he’s for everything that’s wrong with this country
Vote straight ticket, Republican this November!

@JonathanTurley. You were such a pillar of strength and consistency when Mitch McConnell did the exact same thing to a Democratic president in broad daylight, even boasted about it. I'll never forget your moving opposition to such destructive, partisan hardball.
Oh wait...nah, you didn't do any of that. Who am I kidding? lulz

@JonathanTurley Control of federal courts, particularly Alito and possibly Thomas's replacement, are the #1 reason to keep GOP Senate control.
I would even vote for Susan Collins.

@JonathanTurley @SherrodBrown is like a rash that won’t go away. Awful, evil, little soldier of the left, with no amoral cause he will not support.
Yeet him again, Ohio!
Do not return to the sewer!

@JonathanTurley Sherrod Brown just promised to block every judge no matter how qualified. Ohio Republicans should put that quote on every yard sign from Toledo to Cincinnati.

@JonathanTurley@LeaderJohnThune@LeaderJohnThuneof blue slips. STOP BEING SELFISH ….you will judge for what you do or failed to do. You are betraying the American people just because you have been friends with Democrat Senators for years. The Democrats all vote in step for the Democrats and thuctive to America. You are both old and have benefited of an America that I was also lucky to know. Our kids don’t have the same experience.

@JonathanTurley Sickening. Sherrod Brown should not be near any power at all. He has no interest in working towards what's best for the American people. Disqualifying.

@JonathanTurley This should come as no surprise.
To be fair, we also refused to confirm Garland in 2016 after the death of the GREAT A. Scalia.
THE BIG difference of course, we weren't threatening to pack the court.

@JonathanTurley You were fine when Republicans blocked Democrats' nominees, including keeping a SCOTUS seat open for a full year and denying Merrick Garland so much as a hearing.
So, on behalf of everyone in America: shut. the. fuck. up.

@JonathanTurley @JohnCParish total resistance to everything, from Dems. No lower anything. Just investigations, resistance, impeachment. Trump was elected for 4 years. Give him 2 more years. At Biden second year, inflation was 9.5 percent, and millions had been let in unvetted, DEi was rampant across every govt agency. Remember Biden 4 years with far left progressives and vote Red.
