Lana Nusseibeh is exactly the kind of UN Secretary-General our divided world needs. An Emirati of Palestinian heritage, she has devoted her career to peace, justice, and dignity for all. I wholeheartedly support her candidacy.

It is not “Islamophobic” to raise legitimate questions about Abdul El-Sayed’s and his family’s documented associations with the Muslim Brotherhood. It is the patriotic duty of every responsible Michigan voter.

It is outrageous that Elon Musk can personally restrict communications Ukrainian forces depend on to defend their country and protect civilians. These are life-and-death decisions with consequences far beyond his company.

SpaceX supplies Ukraine’s military-grade Starshield service under Pentagon contracts. No responsible military would give every weapons contractor a unilateral veto over battlefield operations. Allowing a communications contractor that power is equally unacceptable.

SpaceX grew with enormous support from American taxpayers through NASA investment and federal contracts. That public investment must serve our national security, not give one billionaire unchecked power over our allies’ survival.

If Musk continues acting as a rogue military contractor, Congress should impose binding restrictions preventing unilateral service disruptions and ensuring government authority over military services purchased with public funds. If those safeguards cannot secure reliable access, nationalization of the essential infrastructure should be on the table.

This is a strategic issue for the United States. No private citizen should have unilateral control of our own military operations. When our allies cannot trust American systems in a crisis, they will seek alternatives. Many of our European allies are already doing this.

Musk’s conduct endangers Ukrainian lives, undermines American security and credibility, and gives our allies compelling reasons to build their future without us.

I just voted, fulfilling my sacred obligation as a citizen in a democratic society. Elections offer a peaceful answer to the age-old problem of how to transfer power without civil war.

Protecting our democracy requires defending the integrity of our elections and upholding our riotic American should oppose both the Trump administration’s cynical manipulation of the electoral process and the dangerous, anti-constitutional agenda of the DSA and far left.

France’s far-left LFI and America’s DSA are ideological twins. No one watching the chaos, violence, and riots LFI has helped foment in France should want to bring the same turmoil to the United States.

I am a Democrat. I very much want the Democrats to win majorities in both houses of Congress to implement a positive vision for America and counter the illegal actions and abuses of the Trump administration. But the last thing we Democrats should do is support or elect a deeply compromised anti-American bigot like Abdul El-Sayed to the United States Senate.

El-Sayed himself has expressed support for the Muslim Brotherhood. His family is deeply connected to it by their own admission, yet he has lied to the American public about that. He has been unable to distance himself from his campaign partner, Hasan Piker, who believes America deserved 9/11.

Democrats should support credible and patriotic Democratic candidates. We should not support anti-American bigots who would put our party and our nation at risk.

Putting country over party is not easy, but it is the right thing to do for our party and our nation.

Patriotic Michigan voters can support Republican Mike Rogers for US Senate while contributing to patriotic Democratic candidates in swing states like Kansas, Texas, and Alaska.

Our party must stand up to the Trump administration’s abuses and excesses, but using that imperative to excuse anti-American bigotry from candidates like Abdul El-Sayed will destroy our credibility with the broader US electorate.

It could well be true that both Donald Trump and Ilhan Omar are engaged in election-related shenanigans. The goal of all Americans should be to protect our democracy from fraud and interference wherever it originates.

Abdul El-Sayed owes the American People 100% honesty about his family association with the Muslim Brotherhood. He must also explain why he has previously lied about that association. This has nothing to do with ethnicity or faith and everything to do with honesty and character. x.com/KyleMartinsen_…

Abdul is not the only Muslim to run for the Senate. Mehmet Oz ran in 2024. No one ran against Oz because he’s a Muslim.

That’s because Oz didn’t call Israel Bloodthirsty. Oz didn’t write an oped urging support for the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. Oz didn’t have donors who belonged to the MB. Oz didn’t blame terrorism on the policies of the US. And Oz didn’t justify a terrorist on a synagogue.

This race isn’t about Abdul’s faith. It’s about his extremist ideas.
El-Sayed: "We had a little debate. Or I had a debate and he just pointed at me and said, 'He's Muslim.'"

What is the @NFL without the ferociously loyal mothers of the players? One of my favorites is the mother of the @Chiefs UDFA star Kahlil Benson. To listen to her is to love her.

Like George Santos before her, Ilhan Omar deserves due process and the full protection of the law.

If she committed crimes, she should be held fully accountable for those crimes like any other citizen.

If she did not commit crimes or lie to the American people, she should be left alone.

Replying to @JamieMetzl
FYI, a federal investigation into Ilhan Omar began under the Biden administration and a judge authorized the search of Omar’s home after finding probable cause to believe it would uncover evidence of a crime, which does not establish her guilt.

"Without providing evidence?"

El-Sayed literally signed a letter in 2012 in support of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. His campaign refuses to explain it.

His sister said his family was MB. His father in law, who is a founding member of ISNA -- an offshoot of the MB -- donated hundreds of thousands to his campaign. There is not a single anti-MB measure he supports.

He says about Islamic terrorists trying to murder Jewish kindergarteners, "Hurt people hurt people," and equates Dearborn-based terrorists trying to kill schoolkids with the IDF's targeted killing of Hezbollah members.

He was caught on tape during this campaign saying he wouldn't say anything about Ayatollah Khamenei's death because too many of his constituents were upset about it.

He campaigns with Hasan Piker, who says Hamas is better than Israel and speaks warmly of Hezbollah.

There is no more thoroughly sourced claim in politics than that El-Sayed is sympathetic to radical Islam and connected to Islamic extremists.
