Not many may remember that Sir Patrick Stewart starred in the 2013 Israeli crime comedy "Hunting Elephants", which was filmed on location in Jerusalem.

This photo was taken by me in 2012. It’s probably the closest I ever came to the legend and cultural icon who, through so many ad been such a familiar presence throughout my childhood.

A small, another unexpected connection between our two countries to someone whose work meant so much to so many 🇮🇱💫🇬🇧

RIP, dear Sir. 🥺

Over the past month, we have been deeply moved by the commemorations held across the UK to mark the 3rd anniversary of 7 October.

From Cornwall to Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, Leeds, Birmingham and Norwich, communities came together to remember, honour the ed.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who dedicated their time, energy and heart to organising these events in their communities. Your commitment to remembrance means more than words can express.

While the world chose to forget on 8 October, you chose to remember — three years later, and always.

Thank you for remembering. Thank you for standing with us❤️

The strength of Israeli democracy lies in its people.

Yesterday, Israel recorded its highest voter turnout since 1999, with 77.7% casting their ballots. 🇮🇱🗳️

In Israel, “It’s too inconvenient” or “It’s too far away” are no excuses for not voting.

As part of our democratic system, Election Day is a national holiday, and people vote from Mount Hermon in the north all the way to Eilat in the south.

Across Israel, you’ll find:

🏥 250 polling stations in hospitals
🔒 55 polling stations in prisons and detention centres
🌍 102 polling stations at Israeli diplomatic missions abroad (across 100 missions)
♿ 6,208 accessible polling stations
♿ 3,620 specially accessible polling stations
🏘️ Polling stations for evacuees from 5 displaced communities

🇮🇱 12,018 polling stations across Israel in total.

🗳️ 7,331,981 eligible voters.

And we’re all eagerly waiting to see what the results will be this time!

How does 🇮🇱 democracy work?

In Israel, every citizen aged 18 and over has the right to vote.

One vote determines which party they support. The results determine how the 120 seats in the Knesset are distributed, which parties enter parliament and who can form a government.

A ld. A parliamentary majority of 61 seats.

Great to visit the Aliyah Fair and MedEx UK in London this weekend, and to meet Dganit Sankar-Langa, Director General of Israel’s Ministry of Aliyah and Integration. 🇮🇱

Inspiring to meet so many people exploring their future in Israel, including over 130 doctors looking to healthcare system. Yet concerning to hear their fears about the future of Jewish life in the UK.

Thank you to the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration, @JewishAgency, @NefeshBNefesh, MedEx and all participating organisations for making it happen!

Another murderous attack on Israelis in Judea and Samaria.

Five Israelis wounded, two critically, in yet another Palestinian terrorist attack near Hebron.

This is part of a deadly wave of Palestinian terrorism targeting Jews.

Palestinian incitement, the Palestinian Authority's Pay for Slay policy, and an education system that encourages murdering Jews fuels this violence.

There can be no justification.
There can be no excuses.
Terrorism must be condemned unequivocally.

Today at @IsraelinUK, I had the pleasure of meeting the leadership of the Jewish Agency’s USA Young Leadership Board, visiting London.

We discussed the challenges facing the Jewish people and Israel, the ways to strengthen coordination in the fight against antisemitism, and eration of Jewish leaders in communities worldwide.

Thank you for a fascinating conversation and for the outstanding work you do in serving Jewish communities across the United States and around the world.

Sir David Bell’s report into antisemitism in British schools and Colleges exposes a shocking reality: three in five Jewish students have experienced antisemitism, yet fewer than half believe it would be addressed if they reported it.

These findings are a damning indictment of Jewish pupils amid rising antisemitism. As the report rightly recommends, antisemitism must be named for what it is, not obscured by generic condemnations of hate.

Britain’s responsibility to tackle antisemitism cannot stop at the school gates. It must extend to every corner of society, including education unions, universities and teaching staff, driving fundamental, systemic change to confront the hatred and incitement that have increasingly poisoned Britain’s streets in recent years.

We welcome the report’s clear call for action. Schools, colleges and unions must be held accountable and take urgent, decisive action to confront antisemitism, protect Jewish pupils and ensure that no student is left to face hatred in silence.

This is a step in the right direction.

Hamas is extorting Gazan civilians.

COGAT reports that Hamas demands NIS 10,000 per truck and threatens merchants who refuse to pay. One merchant’s son was reportedly arrested.

Now merchants have suspended truck coordination out of fear.

Hamas is sabotaging Gaza’s supply of goods to fund its own terror operations.
