Organised by the Centre for High Technology (CHT), Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India, the meet was themed “Accelerating Energy Innovation: From Research to Commercialisation.”
During the discussion, Mr. Bhatia shared his perspectives on the evolving role of gas in India’s energy transition, emphasising the need to translate technological advancements and policy initiatives into commercially viable and sustainable solutions.
He highlighted the importance of strengthening CNG infrastructure through demand-driven network expansion, seamless mobility corridors and improved customer experience, while ensuring competitive fleet economics based on cost per kilometre. He also underscored the need to scale up CBG through assured offtake, reliable feedstock supply and synchronised pipeline connectivity, alongside diversifying energy sources to enhance national energy security. Emphasising a pragmatic and technology-driven approach, he stressed the importance of industry collaboration, operational excellence and future-ready infrastructure to accelerate the commercialisation of emerging energy technologies.
